no, if he leaves us for another job it cost us nothing.

Torres is walking off
Gerrard asks him whats up?
Torres shrugs
Gerrard looks over at the bench and scratches his head
Big Eck cracks one off in the dug out
Pretty much sums up why Rafa wont be missed

Say we sell him for 100Mil all other teams are going to know we have 100Mil burning a hole in our pocket so will inflate their prices just to screw us and get more. And anyway even if we did sell him for that much how much of it would even be made available for the manager? Besides that what does that say of our ambition if we sell Torres?

I'll say it again it's a stupid plan. Crazy talk

To say its utterly ridiculous is a bit strong imo

what's the point of having ambition if you have'nt got money or Arsene Wenger.

Im sure Tranmere Rovers have got ambition, but where are they?

We need CA$H

we need it to rebuild this shambolic shower that our manager has assembled.

If that means selling our spectacular spanish china doll,  then so be it.

I agree, it's not a crazy plan at all. Football is a team game as what shown in Manchester United. Yes, Torres is world class but if you have the likes of Lucas playing behind him that would help Liverpool as well.

It's like putting a Ferrari engine into a square box, there wont be any aerodynamics for the car to move smoothly.

But I hope some new investments can come in to help us change things....

He's a stubborn man, he thinks he knows best when clearly he hasn't a clue.  Lucas, Kuyt and Insua etc couldn't buy their way into the top four yet we have them as first choice.

He's certainly a unique manager, deluded perhaps in thinking he can win the premiership with those standard of players playing his negative style of football.  He's the only manager I know that can spend 40M and make a team worse!  :D

A little harsh on Insua he is only young and he has been called up for Argentina. He is still learning his game.

I have to admit I dont give a TommyTit about Rafa any more. The players must shoulder some of the blame for some of the feeble performances throughout this season, but when the team cant be @rsed, when the manager continues to make strange decisions and no doubt the actions of the owners contribute to the despondency of both manager and players, then its natural that the fans lose hope. I´ve lost faith in the attitude of the owners, manager and players. I consider we have hit rockbottom and my patience likewise.

My faith in the club is unshaken, but this mess will take another 3 years to sort out. Gerrard is dreaming if he thinks he´s going to win the league or another european medal with LFC. The only good news here is I´ll probably live for another 40 years so hopefully we´ll sort it out by then.

Another point.... when Ure won the leagure for the first time under Whiskyface, they´d gone 26 years without winning it. I wonder if we´ll beat that record?

We need a good Scottish manager, our best years have been under Scottish leadership, with a strong splash of jocks in the team too.
Bring in a Jock, feck bring in anyone! just get rid of that idiot.

The man is beyond comprehension, who brings off the worlds best striker with 25 mins to go in a must win game? who leaves the argentinian capt on the bench in a must win game, who brings in a useless pony tailed defender whan you have a world class dane sat on the bench in a must win game?
Fecking idiot!!! plain and simple and at any cost he must go.

Maybe Benitez thought Liverpool were already out of the race for fourth whatever the result yesterday and by keeping Torres fresh for the world cup will mean Liverpool can cash in on him after South Africa.

If he's keeping Torres fresh, it would be for the return leg of the Europa League. And that would be my logical assumption of the Torres substitution.

Absolutely
Because if he kept him on and Torres got injured he would be the most idiotic manager in the whole of Christendom.
The problem is, he has pretty much gambled all season and it hasnt paid off yet...
