I think you'll find that it has been established that not only is he a knob, but he's silly to boot.

We can't have that can we?

He wouldn't get the interview with you though would he?

See post above about what your boss would think.  :)

The debate over whether Rafa should stay or go is a worthy one and will cover many pages..

The debate over possible replacements is equally interesting and emotional..

However it could be irrelevant with these :censored: in charge.

They know little of consequence about the game and showed it when they came up with their previous nomination - Klinsman.

Whether it is right or wrong to say adios to Benitez can anyone on this forum say that they trust these 2 lying money grabbing :censored: to make a sensible decision that will be in the best interests of Liverpool fc?

Certainly Rafa's got a case to answer. Beyond the first 11 the thiness of the squad, lack of quality etc is imo down to him, however I still think that if he left we'd be in bigger sh'ite than we are now.
I'm not happy with the way things are panning out but I'll stick with and support the fella through to the end of the season at least.

all these people asking for Mourinho, it just wont happen. i have read/listen countless times when he was at chelsea, when out of job and when at inter, he still has a lingering thing for them. i just dont see him betraying them and thats the truth. as i said before in a different thread i would still give a pop at Slaven Bilic, hes done a great job for croatia even without qualifying and would make liverpool play a different style. klinsmen didnt do well for byern, so i wouldnt go for him

If you replace a manager mid season it stands to reason that a lot of the best options will not be available.
Plus you run the risk of things going worse..
Surely a run of 6 defeats out of 7 games will not be repeated?

Not a great deal of names out there at the moment. As already mentioned, Mourinho, Hiddink are the 2 big names both with experience of the EPL. On another note, this is one of the biggest jobs in football and I personally think they would both jump at the chance. The issue would be both these guys would probably be the fact they would want to revamp the squad and whether they would be given the funds is the problem, unless they sell before they buy. The only ones that are safe in our squad are Reina, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres and at a push Carra. The rest, even the likes of Benayoun wouldn't be guaranteed to stay IMO

Can you for a minute imagine Mourinho dealing with the 2 yank :censored:- would not last a week. I suggest getting rid of the :censored: and get some finance in first, then and only then are we goingto be more attractive to people

can we let go of the old but hes a nob gag? its gettin old and rather childish

I dont care who we got, as long as he does better than Rafa, there's a lot of circumstances which dictate who we can and cant have. Might as well nip the Moureen talk in the bud now, he's managing Inter and ain't gonna p!ss off any time soon. Right now I'm ahead in line to manage LFC.

If we must discuss Mourinho here, I don't agree when people say we have "no chance" of getting him. He's currently the manager of Inter as we know, and he won the title there in his first season. Currently they are four points clear at the top of the table in his second season, and I would have thought that they are a very short price to win the title in his second campaign as well (amazingly, that'll be the third time in succession he has won the title in his first two seasons with his new club). Also, he hasn't spent significant money either (as he didn't when he won the title twice, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League with Porto).

Now, Mourinho loves the Premiership and English football, he's never made any secret of that. Chelsea (IMHO anyway) are going to win the Premiership this season, so they are hardly likely to give the very likeable Ancellotti the elbow anytime soon. Arsenal ain't getting rid of Wenger, which leaves Mourinho three options if he wants to come back to England. Man City, Man Utd, or us.

I think if Ferguson were to retire at the end of this season, the Mancs will get him. They'll just make sure they do, because any fool can see he is the best candidate, it's a simple as that really. If he doesn't though (and I don't think he will), that leaves us and City as viable propositions for Mourinho to have a realsitic chance of winning trophies. I think given those two options, if they are available, Mourinho would come to Liverpool.

tbph Mick if I thought we could get Mourinho I probably would, but the bloke would cost an arm and a leg though, and I also believe when the going gets tough he'd walk. I'm sure that if Moureen was hired rather than Rafa five years ago he would have walked ages ago. there aren't many I'd trust at the helm of LFC, but I think we'd be in safe hands with Jose, I do miss him in English football, his interviews and conferences were always good fun. He may be arrogant but he was bloody entertaining. Mourinho at Liverpool I just can't see

Do you think Mourinho would come to Liverpool at this stage in the season? If Rafa was to walk we'd need to get someone in rather sharpish
