Pellegrini is expected to meet with representatives of Liverpool Football Club on June 18th 2010 to discuss the possibility of taking over the vacant managerial post at Anfield. Although he said Hicks is a knob and doesnt want to work for him.

Hodgson is not a world class manager, he is a steady eddie that has done some good jobs and also struggled at various stages. There is no doubt appointing him isnt what anyone was seriously advocating when they were talking about new managers.

I hope it is someone else to be honest, but if its not i am still hopeful that what he serves up next season is an improvement on what we witnessed last.

Fair enough Ben .... I think the main reservation I have about opting for Hodgson is that the fans have had no say ,and considering this is quite possibly the most monumental decision Liverpool Football Club has ever had to make ,I find the fans shouts for Dalglish that are being totally disregarded by the Club unforgivable...... it is beneath contempt the way they are turning a deaf ear to our fervent requests for Kenny to take the reins, and in turn restore some dignity at this Great Club

I share your apprehensions about Roy, but when have the fans ever had a real say on who gets hired and fired at a footy club?

I think in the past we trusted the people who were selecting our new manager and believed the job was indeed in the most capable hands ,but now it seems the current group have only interests of a self serving nature and not for the continual progression of our Club .... that's why given the total lack of faith we have in the board that it is essential they not only  give great  consideration to our opinion.. but pay great heed to its importance in the overall scheme of things otherwise they will be taking on a battle that they can ill afford because we Liverpool fans are a unique breed we don't forgive and we  certainly don't forget ......

If he becomes LFC manager perhaps he'll think we're playing City on the opening day.
