LIVERPOOL VS WEST HAM UNITED - All the build up and reaction here

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby lakes10 » Sat Aug 26, 2006 12:43 am

I hear that some West Ham fans are going to clap Liverpool as they take to the field. this is in hope that West Ham and Liverpool Fans can build on the friendship that started after the FA CUP.

Seems a good idea to me , dont think it will get seen as both teams come onto the field at the same time but still a nice idea lol.

Hope it will be a good game and we will win 2-0

I have the feeling we will actually play well tomorrow 3-0,  but unlike most I also expect Kuyt to start the match. I would like Kuyt to get a goal so we dont have the farce with the media counting the minutes till he finally scores.

Reina

Finnan
Aurelio
Agger
Hyypia

Gonzales
Alonso
Gerrard
Pennant

Bellamy
Kuyt

I wonder why the dickheads who were overreacting to our draw at Sheff Utd aren't now saying we're certs to win the fecker!?!

Dumb b*stards!!!! :D

None of us d!ckheads and dumb b@stards who expressed severe disappointment at the result in Brammel lane said that the Title was as good as gone, Lando...

Damn... You can be so offensive sometimes. Give it a rest would you? .... no reason to insult people who disagree with you...

And I've read your "this is who I am and if people cannot accept that, then too bad... I ain't apologizing or changing" speech before....

I reckon that maybe we should try a 4-3-3...

                   Reina

Finnan    Agger    Hyypia    Aurelio

      Stevie     Xabi     Zenden

      Bellamy Crouch  Gonzalez

Would have several advantages...
1. Getting Stevie back in the middle of the park.
2. Keeping the in-form Crouch in the starting line-up.
3. Pace to burn up either side of him to pick up the bits and pieces..
4. Flexibility to resort back to a conventional 4-4-2 in defense.... shift Speedy back to LW and put Zenden and Xabi in the middle of the parkand Stevied back as RM.

Could bring on Kuyt and Fowler later in the game to assist in getting Robbie's match fitness up and a nice intro to the Prem at home for Dirk...

All out-attack approach to the game for the 1st match at Anfield this season?

Don't think we'll see it...   :D :D

I think Bellamy and Crouch will both start tomorrow with Gerrard and Alonso in the middle of the park with Gonzales and Pennant either side.

With that line up the threats are coming from everywhere. :p

Well I'm sorry you are so easily offended. It's SO obvious I was aiming it at you, you f*cking plank.  ???  :no

How is having a laugh and a joke sad? If you can't laugh at yourself you're a sad f*cker indeed!

P.S. If I must allow you your opinion, surely you cannot try to censor mine?

ConnO'var I dont think Lando's comments were aimed at you at all mate , and if you read the Sheff U thread again you will see that there were people saying that our title challenge was as good as over. I think everyone was bitterly disappointed at the Shef U result and most appreciate that we cant afford too many results like that. To say that because we f*cked up in one match that we have lost the EPL is a bit OTT im sure you will agree? Yes we may regret the lost points come the end of the season but we have 37 games left to make up for them.
You expressed disappointment in the result not that we had lost the league. At least thats the way I read your post.Hope this helps mate.

Who said we were out of the title race? I don't think I saw anyone say that, perhaps I can't read, do shed some light. There was several of us who were bitterly disappointed and not being sunshiners like most on here we decided to voice our annoyance at what was an embarrassing result.

I was confronted by several idiots who were taking my comments and other's way out of context, therefore blowing it out of proportion and through their ignorance came up with the fact that people who refuse to see rays of sunshine when it's clouded by s.hit, must indeed be "doom mungers", "fickle" or claiming "the title race is over".

All I said and the others who agreed with me is that losing two points could be costly at the end of the season, I hardly think that states we are out of the title race.

If thats true its a nice touch from them, I like the Hammers always have done.
And Rafa was saying yesterday he really respects them as a team as they play football, meaning to say Bolton, Blackburn and the bitters play ruby.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

saint...that might be the line up...not that crouch deserves to be dropped  but he worked his fecking ar.se off the other night  so rafa might start with kuyt to give the big man a much needed rest...but knowing what team rafa will pick is not easy...   ???

An embarrassing result ?

Listen sunshine, there are no easy games in the premiership, you obviously take certain games for granted and expect us to roll teams over week in week out. But to say that was an embarrassing result is nothing short of arrogance on your part.
Like I said in another thread, I dont think Sheffield United are going to be the whipping boys everyone thinks they are, especially at Brammal lane.

I never said teams were going to be easy, but every Liverpool fan from Alaska to Hong Kong was stating how we are going to be title contenders and title contenders win most of their matches, especially against the likes of Fulham, Charlton and Sheff Utd, etc.

For a club of Liverpool's size and stature, it's indeed an embarrassing result, especially when you've got United, who don't have much depth in their squad and haven't replaced the likes of Keane or Nistlerooy are hammering Fulham 5-1 and beating Charlton 3-0. I think I have a right to be rather disappointed, embarrassed and annoyed with the result.
