WEST HAM VS LIVERPOOL - All build up and reaction here please!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

As we go into our 25th league game of the season just beating the champions of england 2-0 with a very comfortable performance many liverpool fans question is the title race over. Everyone has there own opinion but if Liverpool do not pick all 3 points up at Upton Park then for me sadly it should be considered Game over. We have just beaten a team in the league which we hadnt since Rafa took over and hadnt even got a draw so we should come into the game confident of walking out with 3 points. West ham who sit 3rd from bottom know a win against us would lift them out of the bottom 3 if reading can get anything from their home game with wigan.
We only trail chelsea by 5 points and know arsenal are only a point behind waiting for us to slip up so tuesdays game is very clinical and important to both the top end and bottom end of the premiership.

We must start our strongest eleven because west ham have strenghtened since we played them last which we struggled against them and this was when we was at home.

Im not going to try and second guess the team but i feel Carragher and Agger should start in the centre back although i feel hyypia may be recalled and i also think Kuyt should also start this game partnering Bellamy.

This game will not be easy.

Some think for some strange reason, that because we've beaten Chelsea that we'll win all of our games against the lower sides.

That isn't the case. They'll probably sit-back and try to soak up the pressure and then hit us on the counter attack. They will be disciplined and aggressive.

The result against Chelsea goes out the window, this is just another game and it's difficult to play against West Ham at their ground. They'll be up for it and trying to get a result that would kick start their season [even though the result against Manure should had done that].

Ill go for a 2-1 to us, a tight game maybe. With Crouch if he's playing to score and Gerrard.

No A.B people were saying its still mathmatically possible after United lost, theres nothing wrong with optimism.

You'll be damned if you do and damned if you dont on these boards.

One game at a time hey A.B ?  :glare:

Its going to be a hard game, i dont know why the hell west hams are having the year they are, for me they should be in the top 5, 1-1 or with a bit of luck 0-2.

You're right in warning us that it's going to be a tough one, all relegation teams at home have their amount of danger. But if we defend like we are doing recently I also think that it's very tough to beat us.

Call me conservative, but I wouldn't be unhappy with a point away, which I think we'll get at the least. If we do things well we could bring the 3 points.

We need 3 points against West Ham if we are to maintain our progress. Anything less and I see it as 2 points dropped not a point gained( a defeat is surely almost unthinkable!) I am quietly confident of a good performance and a 2-0 win for us. Go at them from the start and their confidence will crumble.

I agree with that, taking into consideration we've had over a week off to rest and to train.

Are WH in the fa cup?
