Not too excited, I thought we needed a different type of striker but it's not that bad and I think he'll be good enough for a back up. The biggest plus about this signing is that the guy will be a super sub in hard games, speeding up the game and threatening the opposition with his fast movement.

As some-one else has said on here, he's the ideal replacement for Suarez if he tires. Bellamy has such pace with the ball at his feet. He may not have the creativity of Luiz but has a sublime touch of his own.

It looks like the strategy is to have three or four forward players who are interchangeable.  Bellamy fits that, as do most of the other strikers/wingers.  Carroll doesn't, so who will get more minutes - Carroll or Bellamy?  :oh:

Talk about astute.....? What a bit of business Damien has done there, Bellers couldn't resist the pull of playing under The King and he'll be the man to look to come those windy cold nights in the deep of winter when sleeves have to be rolled up....... I remember mark Hughes saying once that he was a real asset in the dressing room, he can invoke passion in those around him and let's not forget, he ain't a bad player too, can't wait to see this team grow and grow in confidence this Season......!!!

if he can recreate the form he showed under hughes at city then he will be a great asset here.
i dont rate him very highly and thought the biggest impact he had here was with a putter and not on the pitch.
he's 32 now and bound to have lost pace since he was at city and imo thats when he peaked as a player.
still he is better than maxi and kuyt on the wing and thats where i think he will play mostly so hopefully he can bag a few here and there for us.
welcome back lad.

i have no objections against Bellamy if he gets is head down does what he is supposed to and not cause disruptions in the squad gets on with is job

and then i would say he is a very good 4th choice i hope that is the case

Not one smile in that interview, miserable get!  :D  Think he will be alright though Bellamy, hes versatile and can run with the ball. Just wish he would lighten up the lad, hells teeth

Really pleased with this.

Great option to have and to get him on a free and get rid of Ngog for 4 million is superb business for me.

I didnt want him to go but at the time it was to help fund torres so understandable.

Welcome back ye narky little fecker  :D

I want him to do well, obviously, but what's changed, he has always been disruptive, doesn't score many goals and is thick, the number of times I've seen him at Anfield looking across the line, and still going offside on the pass.

He failed when he was at his peak, why would he be any better now he is almost finished? Uninspiring signing, I just hope he has grown up.
