I really hope Agger doesn't go. For me, him and Skrtel look like they could make a quality pairing in the future.

And Nanny, you've got Xabi looking well swish in your sig :D

i know people will come out and blame rafa for this but how can rafa play the lad if he thinks he might lose him because the player hasn't been sorted by the chief exc,  agger and srktel are the future of our back four and rafa has done a great job of gettin the 2 palyers to the club, keeping them shouldn't be his job..... aggers agents will now be eying a big pay cheque

i fecking hate parry and the yanks for making our club a laughing stock in the market

Looks like we are going to lose Agger then! You know what Rafa is like. He'll dig his heels in and not play Agger now and Agger will decide time is up and he will leave in the summer!!

F*ckin joke...

It's not looking good for Agger, he's a quality defender who needs to play and if Rafa won't play him he should move on.

Skrtel is a good player too, certainly not any better than Agger or any worse.

Agger should sit tight until the summer, Rafa may get the boot at the end of the season if things go tits up.

If Rafa is still here then he should leave.

The problem is, Rafa himself hasn't even sorted his own contract out yet so how the hell can he persuade Agger to stay and sign a long term contract? At the moment there's no guarantee that the manager will be here next season.

The problem is though that the club hasn't actually offered him a new contract, as they never got back to him or his agent after some early talks in november (according to Agger himself at least, but it doesn't exactly sound unlikely with Parry's trackrecord regarding contractual situations in mind).

I don't blame Agger one bit. We gave him a chance, he has been through an injury or two, but must want regular first team football. If we can't give him that guarantee then he's quite right to look at his options, maybe get to a big Italian or Spanish club and be an integral part of a title winning side instead of bit-part

Agger is our most capable centre back IMO, he's great with the ball at his feet, the only CB to have such a quality at the club. He hasn't reached the form he had before his injury but I'm sure given regular playing time he will be as good as he ever was and develop into a rock at the back. Him and Skrtel could become a world class pairing given the playing time together
