Gerrard and Torres should go to the Chairman and say that if Benitez is here at the start of next season that we're both leaving. They are professionals and shouldn't have to work for a buffoon.

I remember being lynched here a couple of years ago for saying that I think benitez is krap. Most here had stupid cliches "in Rafa we trust" etc, and made out that "true supporters" think Rafa is a great manager. Because of such ignorance, we might be stuck with a 20m bill to get rid of the clown.

Give it a rest with the 'I told you so's' Marvin, you must have repeated the same thing fifty times in the last 2 months. It hardly confirms you as some sort of footballing oracle.

yes and i paid for it on here from time to time.

This is the truth about our club

the team as it stand is Not a top 4 team, if we make it this year it will be luck.
there are too many bad eggs in the team right now
Rafa has wasted money on bad buys but stuck with them in the team
59 players and only a few are good.
money needs to be spent to build a good team
we have owners that have given us nothing but a big debt
the owners will not give Rafa the money he is asking for to build a team due to what he has wasted it on in the past.

we have owners that keep backing off takeovers or buy ins

we need

a new manager that knows what it takes to win the prem
this means a manager that has done it before or has a very real understanding of English football

New owners or a 3rd party to bring fresh clean money into the club and not just money to pay off the loan

we need to sell most of the team keeping only arounf 6 players that are there right now......thatshow bad our team is, dont get me wrong this team could do well but not in english footbal.

I think the clue is in the posters name mate, "Cantona07" i'm not really 100% sure he is a Liverpool fan   :D

Having said that I do believe if we sold either Gerrard or Torres the other one would want to go as well (as would probably a couple of others!)

Good riddance
And then wed have the backbone of Lucas, Kuyt, Insua and Ngog.
Who could ask for anything more?

The Sheik would be better off dumping City and buying us, he would get a far bigger club, better supported, more chance of making money and Torres & Gerrard would already be aprt of the team.

Sell City get £150 - 200m for them, buy us £350m.

Why waste another couple of hundred mill on City, no matter what they spend or what they achieve they will always be in utds shadow. Total waste of money.

The problem would be that they would need another £350million or so for the new stadium as well if they bought us.

 Fecking hell. We are more likely to score with Torres on the pitch regardless of whether he is on the top of his game or having the biggest nightmare of his career. If he's anything like fit and he's on the pitch we are more likely to score a goal.

Behave yourself FFS  :D

The evidence from this season is on my side.

In the games he has been out of sorts, he has not scored. Instead he gets petulant, frustrated and earns himself a card...The notion that merely having Torres on the field is enough is NOT supported by any evidence from this season so far.

BTW, by poor I mean, unfit, tired, out of form, out of sorts......

Screw the evidence it's not Ally Mcbeal. Bottom line. MUST win game, can't afford anything less than 3 points - In a team that's struggled to score goals ALL season you keep the guy who is practically your ONLY goal threat on the pitch for the full 90 or until the job is done. If you want to get the impotent Ngog on the pitch, that's great, he can lend a hand, but take off the best striker in the world with so much at stake? It beggars belief.

It's not just this substitution. It's been season long.

Sorry sir...its  about the evidence. The rest is ur feelings, which am frankly not interested in. U can share that with the wife, gf, ho or whateva....

Your cherry picking your "evidence" lad.

It doesn't work that way, I'm afraid.

in truth i can not see any team building a new ground for a few years, the money is not there right now, if it all  picks up in a year then great but i think it might be a bit silly to do it right now.

if you look at the plans on how the ground was going to be built and how we was going to pay for it the club would have been wiped out when the money market crashed, so yes there might be a good reson why G&H held of building the ground but they should have told us why, when he said 60 days it was only a few weeks after that it all come to light that we was heading for a big world crash in money
ML seem to think that G&H got it right in not starting work on it.

Yes they lease it, but they have a 99 year lease mate, so I don't think they are too worried at the moment. They are talking about expanding the stadium though, not sure how that would work tbh.
