 Fecking hell. We are more likely to score with Torres on the pitch regardless of whether he is on the top of his game or having the biggest nightmare of his career. If he's anything like fit and he's on the pitch we are more likely to score a goal.

Behave yourself FFS  :D

The evidence from this season is on my side.

In the games he has been out of sorts, he has not scored. Instead he gets petulant, frustrated and earns himself a card...The notion that merely having Torres on the field is enough is NOT supported by any evidence from this season so far.

BTW, by poor I mean, unfit, tired, out of form, out of sorts......

Screw the evidence it's not Ally Mcbeal. Bottom line. MUST win game, can't afford anything less than 3 points - In a team that's struggled to score goals ALL season you keep the guy who is practically your ONLY goal threat on the pitch for the full 90 or until the job is done. If you want to get the impotent Ngog on the pitch, that's great, he can lend a hand, but take off the best striker in the world with so much at stake? It beggars belief.

It's not just this substitution. It's been season long.

Sorry sir...its  about the evidence. The rest is ur feelings, which am frankly not interested in. U can share that with the wife, gf, ho or whateva....

Some evidence for you...

Torres Liverpool career to date: 70 goals in 115 appearances
Ngog Liverpool career to date: 10 goals in 41 appearances
Score when Torres withdrawn: 1-1
Score at full time: 1-1

The rest--all of it--is open to interpretation.  Now your "feeling" (yes, feeling) is that Torres was "poor" and that meant he wasn't going to score.  My "feeling" is that you leave your best players on the pitch and show a bit more adventure than a like-for-like substitution when you're chasing a goal in a pivotal game.  Particularly if that like-for-like involves hauling off a world class player who has netted in just over 60% of his appearances for the club on average, in favour of a raw youngster who's only managed to do so less than a quarter of the time he's stepped onto the pitch.  That goes double when your star striker has managed 8 goals in 9 appearances since coming back from injury, whereas his replacement hasn't played more than a few minutes since the end of February and hasn't scored since that Romanian outfit came to town in the Europa league a month and a half back.

Now, if it truly is your feeling that Torres was so jaded as to merit substituting you're obviously entitled to it (I disagree, obviously) but let's not dress it up as hard "evidence" that Rafa made the right call.  For me, all the evidence you need that he made the wrong call is there in the final score and on the faces of both Gerrard and Torres, who have perhaps lost just a little more faith in the manager's approach as a result of yet another gamble that's backfired.  Broadening out to the big picture, it would appear that this result is indeed more evidence (the league table doesn't lie, after all) that we've taken a massive step backward this season.  My feeling on that one is that a majority of the blame can be placed at Rafa's door and that it's time for him to go...

torres should have stayed on even when not playing well he would be more than capable of netting a goal for us.

...............moving on

If Rafa is here next year there is a very real chance Torres and Gerrard will leave this summer.

Man City is said to have put in a offer for him and in truth will pay anything to have him and they also have eyes on Gerrard.

if Rafa dont walk to his new job then it should be made clear to the two players Rafa will not be here next year so they stay. both are unhappy in the way the club is heading.

Are you stupid?

Or have you forgotten the goals Torres scored when he returned only 50% fit?

Aston Villa?
Man Utd?

sort of conjecture mate but it has been spoken about in the media for sometime, they say Gerrard needs to win the prem as he dont have long left and he not going to win that with Rafa at the club.

it is only us (or should say some) liverpool fans that think Rafa is anything other than a european manager, most think he was never going to make it in the prem due to his lack of understanding of what is needed to win it, and what sort of team neded to be built, he got close to having that team but then sold it.

Never say never
But Torres would be a fool to leave us for sh'itty. Hes got everything he needs here except a manager who knows what hes doing.
That can be sorted.

I think the clue is in the posters name mate, "Cantona07" i'm not really 100% sure he is a Liverpool fan   :D

Having said that I do believe if we sold either Gerrard or Torres the other one would want to go as well (as would probably a couple of others!)

if that was just a one off post then i would think it was made up but the bbc have been getting tip off about this since xmas, i am sure Man city would put a bid in for him and might have even tried to talk to him or et it be know to him that they would like him.

i do feel that one thing that would keep him at the club is a new big name manager.

the money side of our problem will be sorted soon (dont tell SOS that or they will think they are pout of a job) and once that is sorted money will be used to build a team under the right manager.

do we have the money right now to bring the right manager here??? ........no , it looks like he is asking 120mil spending money.

1-1 biggest game of the season so far as we cannot drop any points, we need a goal and there's 30 minutes to to.

Do you:

(A) take off Torres

(B) do your fukkin job
