I think that image sums it up.

When our captain publicly and deliberately demonstrates to a world wide tv audience his bemusement at the managers decisions it's time for even the most pro Rafa fans (me included) to admit that it's time for a change.

They say "no individual is bigger than the club". That obviously applies to managers as well as players. As things stand I just don't see Gerrard, Torres and some other players wanting to continue under Rafa's direction. From where I sit if the choice is lose Gerrard and Torres OR Rafa, then for me it has to be goodbye Rafa. I don't think the team could quickly recover if we were to lose our captain and the worlds "best" striker, on the other hand given the malaise thats apparently spread through the team I think in the forthcoming season even Phil Thompson could get more out of the side than Rafa.

I get no satisfaction from stating any of the above, I'm gutted that after restoring us to the European stage and having come within a whisker of delivering the premiership title last season Rafa now looks as though he has no more to offer.

No idea what the post said because as soon as you said "Rafaplogists" (whatever the f.cuk they are ) i stopped reading as no doubt it would be full of the same "Mickism" we see on a regular basis - posting in an arrogant way that tries to deman anyone that has the sheer cheek to have a different opinion as "Oracle Mick".

But i bet you Ten quid Birmingham is mentioned

The 03/04 team was more than not believing in the manager it was also down to the fact we had a lot of poor players in the team

12 of those "poor players" won the CL final the following season

Rafas buys that summer were also crucial in the CL win - players like Garcia and Xabi were crucial in winning the thing .

Xabi played in less than half of our CL games that season mate.

You believe we went backwards when we bought Bellamy etc but for me it was the run in the cl to the final . We played weaker line ups to concentrate on the CL that season and results faded in the prem . The year before we went out of the CL early so concentrated more on the league hence the better result in that comp.

Yeah just like this season  :D

As I have said before Rafa has NEVER won anything with HIS team. At Valencia the players were already there and had just reached the CL final two years on the trot, and at Liverpool back when we won things, the vast majority of the players were already at the club.

Yep im pretty sure Gerrard was gutted to see Torres go off - but instead of showing disappointment he as captain should grab the team by the scruff of the neck and himself included go on and fight for the points and we so nearly did bar poor finishing .

Yes 12 of those players did win the CL - they also ended up 35 points from top spot the year before and while Xabi may of only played in half the games his contribution in the games he did play were highly crucial .

If we are talking about winning things with other peoples players then we should say that Maureen won f.uck with his own team as the majority of players that won those back to back titles were already there and it was in esscence Raneri's team then ? Or does it only count towards Rafa ?

Make your mind up either Mourinho bought the league by buying every top class player around, or he had the team already there when he arrived ...... you can't really have it both ways mate   :D

:(

So the lads gone form 2nd place in the league last year to washed up in 9 months has he? Load of tosh.

Face it, theres extreme stress at Anfield at the moment, the seasons been a nightmare, the CL was an embarrassment and the FA cup didnt exist.

The players feel it as much as the manager, as much as the fans.

And you judge Rafa on a 5 second video of SG scratching his head? Bl**dy´ell Woof I had you down as someone with more bottle than that! Only S@int does trial by YouTube.

The season has been a pig, get it finished and world cup out the way with hopefully one of our sides represented picking up the cup and see the change in the changing room after a rest. And Rafa reassured by new owners and able to bring in a couple of new faces etc..

We´ll be off to the races again and leading contenders from the off.

The hardest part of the season is the run in when you´re trying to catch up and throwing away points, but dont react like getting 3 points should be mechanical or you´ll end up repeating the other shíte these lads say like 'the UEFA Cup means nothing'.

Its a football club where things DO go wrong, every season doesnt end with Roy of the Rovers scoring the winner in the  last minute, no, its a game of hard work with a large slice of luck.

Sacking Rafa is not the magic solution to solving our clubs problems.

look on the Mourinho yes i can not stand the guy but yes i would like him to be our manager but i can not see it.
in the last week it has come to lightthat he has a 120mil rider on any contract,  the rider is that he has 120mil to spend building the team that he likes.........we cannot give him that and the only team that can is Man City.

so i think he has now put himself out of the frame for the job, untill that come out the word was he was our next manager.

I predicted we'd finish 7th a while back.

6 years of Rafa and that is our standard. We MIGHT qualify for a rubbish tournament that Middlesborough and Rangers have nearly won in recent years.

i take it you did not have sky on all over the last week mate or any of the CL weekly.

even the other day he made it very clear that he is fed up with football over there.

by the way how do you find news out?
