The club would be changed from Liverpool FC to Mourinho FC. It will all be about him, not the club, and I wouldn't be able to take that smugness on a weekly basis. Liverpool would be a soap box for The Mourinho Show. It would be like listening to rap music - "I'm great/How great am I?/Really great/Super great/The best/I am Mourinho/I am Liverpool" etc.
What Mourinho is to football is what X-Factor is to music. Or what the Saw franchise is to film. Tacky, soulless nonsense with the bottom line being money. Mourinho won't care for the club the way we as Liverpool lovers want/need a manager to be.

While your world seems to revolve around money, most players/managers do have other priorities alongside the money. Kaka wouldn't join Citeh, Ribery has today said he wants to go to Spain rather than Chelsea because of his wife etc etc.
We will always attract top managers and players because we are a big club with a large fan base and surprisingly we still pay top wages in an area where the cost of living is relatively cheap in comparison with say London. Maybe we can't compete with the likes of Madrid, or Chelsea but neither can most other clubs.
At the moment Spain is probably the top destination for both players and managers because of the exchange rate, climate, low cost of living and low tax rate, however the lure of the premiership and the FACT that Mourinho has already said that he does not want to manage in Spain may enable us to tempt him or someone of similar standard to come. He may be tempted by the lure of the Euro, then again he may decide that he wants to be a manager rather than a coach and go where he has said he would LIKE to manage ......in the premiership.
Personally I have no worries about us attracting a top manager, my main concerns are that people are so accustomed to failure and have such low asperations that we won't change manager.
You are mentioning exceptions to the rule instead of the normal case.
Righnt now we are abig club but what makes you say it will be like that forever? Leeds was in the semis of the CL 2003 and 2 years later making it's way in the championship. I am not saying it will happen but saying things like that as a certainty is in my eyes foolish. Newcastle has a big fan base and as you can see with them if the club is mismanaged you will suffer the consequences.
When Torres came we were a much better proposition than today. We had just been to our 2nd CL final in 3 years, had not dicovered that our owners were actually rotten to the core and would not invest in the team we still thought a stadium was on the way.
It is soon not only RM or Chelski we can't compete with but also Manure, Arsenal, City, Spurs and even more if the situation is allowed to continue.
Let me just say this about Mourinho. If he chooses us for less than what other clubs are offering cause we are Liverpool then I will stand up and tip my hat off and admit I am totally wrong.
Can you do the same if I am proved right?
I just believe money talks in the end much more than you.
For every "Ribery" there are 50 "Gareth Barry"!

Who is Babbell ??

Benny The Noon wrote:So what happens if we end up 4th and win europa saint ? does he still get sacked ? remember being 6th and being out of cl at this stage is a one off when comparing his previous seasons
Also there is nothing to say that things could get easily get worse if Kenny took over due to his lack of experience over the last 20 years . I know you keep skating over it saint but but how long has he been out of the job again ?

Question 1
I refer you to the many times I have answered this one -He would deserve another season even if my belief is that it may do more harm than good.
Question 2
10 years since he was last manager of a club. 10 years since he last won a trophy.
