We're fooked then, if he takes anything you say and acts on it.

I know yeah, we'd be knackered if he went and signed a quality right back, a right winger and a centre half better than the ones we have. We'd be completely knackered if we started consistently playing a similar side and only dropping players that are out of form or tired and generally stuck with winning sides. We'd be screwed!

Unbelievable i tell you , Stu what do you see in pennant mate? He can beat his man better than kuyt but he's rarely in the box , he's crossing is sh!te , how many assist does he actually have? Whats he's appearances , goals and assist compared to dirk kuyt who's a natural striker playing as a right midfielder .

As for Sven , he's a good manager , he signed some good players last season for city and actually did well for his first season , he's team did the double of the current champions manchester united something we can't boast about at all . They held us to a draw and sven signed some good players like corluka , Elano , gave players like ireland and johnson a chance and look at how much ireland has improved , argubaly city's player of the season so far .

Only Torres and Gerrard have scored more goals for Liverpool this season.

I disagree with anyone who says that Pennant's crosses are terrible. Its because, the past 2 seasons, we had no players that would attack pennant's crosses, thats about it, every time I saw him play, he would give in a good cross into the box, but it ends up in the goalkeeper's hands or the the opposition defender, why? because there was no one in the box to head it into the net! If we got Pennant sooner, when Morientes was still here (although if Fowler and pennant had more games together it would have been also beneficial for both players), he would have benefited from Pennant's crosses, because you would see Morientes going for the ball and the spaniard's heading ability is quality and its one of his strengths. Play pennant with players like Luca Toni, Klose, Adebayor, Fowler etc... and you can see these type of players would get the best out of pennant.

I think he is a good player, not more than that, a better option than kuyt on the right.

would rather have kuyt as a striker.

I think if Rafa thought Pennant was a better option we would see him on the right, he see's a more balanced team with Kuyt there simple as that, Pennant reminds me of Baros, good work rate always in great positions but not enough product (2007 CL final highlighted this), Rumours have Pennant going to Wigan in part exchange for A.Valencia come January, who just might be an improvement on both Kuyt and Pennant.

we scored 18 goals this season in 12 games.
we didnt score in 3 of them.
torres scored 5 all in the BPL, gerrard scored 4, kuyt scored 3, lucas, keane, babel, carra, brown and agger scored 1 apiece.
an average of 1.5 goals a match is poor isnt it for the future champs?

no way peewee...

but from looking at most of your posts people might be forgiven for thinking that you think even sven and mclaren are better than rafa...    :rasp

ps. this post has of course nothing to do with the argument that's going on about lenon and pennant in a dirk kuyt forum or whatever...  :D

That just reinforces my gut instinct that Rafa wants Kuyt on the pitch and doesn't see him as a stop-gap at RM, to be replaced by someone more skillful in January.
