I agree he has created, but it's not enough, nowhere near enough. Look at the sides who've won the league recently, they don't carry passengers like Kuyt in attacking positions.

but he has created more than any other wide player of midfielder in the squad bar gerrard plus more than all the other strikers ? pennant played a season and a half at wide right and got not even half of the amount of assists kuyt got last year ?

I don't buy into assist stats much really. eg Masher won the ball and created an opportunity, yet Dirk gets the assist after rolling a 10 yard square pass that anyone could have made. I'd go as far as to say Masher created that.

Again, I think you're overstating his importance and contribution

And that my friend is perfect example of people refusing to give kuyt credit for making a goal . masher did a tackle and kept the ball alive - yep he did great , kuyt lacthed onto it and picked out a team mates run perfectly for him to score.

And that my friend is a classic example of you overstating his contribution and importance to the team

He was in space and rolled a square ball accross to a teammate, after Masher created the opportunity.

Well done, he made a pass that anybody with two legs could have made. You'll have to forgive me for not salivating over his complicated and intricate part in the goal

Credit where its due, and Mascherano deserves plenty more in the example I mentioned imo

but isnt kuyt a :censored: footballer with a poor touch so how the hell did he manage to pass that ball to babel then ?  :shifty

Is that sarcasm??

nope im being genuine - berbatov is a lazy fecker who spends have his time complaining and whinging on the bench . sorry but wouldnt want him near the club . he is decent just not worth the money paid for him .

Yet he creates chances for others, scores goals,is technically gifted and can do things Kuyt can only dream off.  Get off the crack.

read my question again : would u rather have kuyt or berba playing in your team against a team who played like stoke? kuyt all hard work..berba, lazy but one moment of individual brilliance could do the trick.

i would still rather have kuyt cause yeah his one brilliance could of got us a goal but his lazyness could of cost us 2 goals against .

I think that argument would carry a little more weight if Holland had won the Euro rather than disappointing as usual.

I think Kuyt is a hard working player that seems like a nice bloke, but who should be a squad player rather than a regular first team player.

If he is so good in Europe ...... play him in European games but 3 goals in a season and a bit, seems a very small return in the league, especially for a team that has very few regular goal scorers. Can we afford to play someone every week who's main contribution is hard work, when its creativity and lack of goals that is seemingly our biggest problem?

ok what about kuyt being the second highest in assists last year behind gerrard ? and already created chances and goals this season .

Kuyt made 4 assists in the league last season and scored 3 goals, thats playing half a season as a striker and half a season as a right sided forward. Not what I would call a great return from 2163mins in the league. Babel another player that is currently out of favour with some for example scored 4 and made 3 assists from 1415 mins in the league.

As I have said previously I think we need someone with more to offer than hard work as a regular starter.

there is more than just the league these days im afraid - its all four competitions that matter not just the league .

Again, as I said previously, play him in Europe if he's good enough, the problem is he's not good enough to play regularly in the prem.

Oh man... I thought you were being sarcastic!!

You can't be serious fella!

Berbatov is maybe not as great as some people claim, but he's a much more accomplished and talented player than Kuyt is!

I can't believe you're serious, I reckon you're doing to get a reaction from me!

once agian kuyt not getting credit where its deserved

You miss my point. Of course finances are important

I doubt it featured much in the team talk though

so anyone who feels kuyt isnt good enough is a WUM? and his points are bullsh!t? and who are you to tell him if he's gonna have to find another message board to cry on when idiots like you are the ones giving such moronic replies thus causing people to respond aggresively? credit to Jimmy for not using vulgarities or making snide remarks at people's credibility as a fan.

completely change around what I said to suit your own points kids. Not using vulgarities but insulting me time and time again when i try to keep it about football is fine then? The WUM and banning comments where because of these statements not anything to do with your football views. But keep your mouthing up, its good to see your spine's regrown Maxipad after your grovelling PM apology the last time I had to put you in your place. I'll not be insulted by anyone, so either keep it civil or :censored: off

kuyt isnt a cr@p player he just isnt good enough for the first team. madrid and manure were chasing berba. even man city. and who bothered about kuyt? he doesnt have the brilliance to win a game on his own. he doesnt have flair. he loses the ball far too often. he mayb have given that pass to babel but who couldnt? if that pass was so difficult to make then that person shouldnt be playing football. i think most of us want a player who does more then just hard work. i would rather have a lazy fecker who has higher chances of scoring then one who does so much hard wok but has so little to show for it. you win games by points via goals scored...not who ran the most.
