£50 million no wonder tom hick's is fuming, he didnt come over here to just blow money, i dont blame him not giving rafa and more money cause he probably will spend that on average player more then likely from spain.

Is Rafa gonna blame the Yanks and the lack of money? Like I have said before Rafa has bought to many average players who are not good enough for our Football Club.

Rafa doesnt deserve more money. Keep the money in the bank incase we need to fund a new manager. Why sign more players to fight for 4th?

Rafa's in trouble- real trouble, thing is he doesn't seem to realise it.
Team selections and rotations all come into it-but the simple facts are we just do not convert enough of the chances we create.
We need better quality strikers.

If Rafa came to interview and said we were poor etc maybe he would get a little more respect, but the Americans want success and (being billionaire business people) we must assume they will be ruthless, and won't hang around forever waiting for this to happen.

It's not like a packed house at Anfield to boo the team. I'd normally be against it, but recently I'd say the team deserves it. It's just our way of showing that we are now sick and tired and fed up with this sh*t. Torres and Gerrard bailed us out against Derby. I recall a lot of posters calling for these two players to be rested, very much the same way most called for them to be rested in this game. Madness. It goes to show, where the f*ck would we be without these two in the side? The squad Rafa built simply isn't capable, and for that he has to accept some responsibility now. Sell the dead wood, and for a change buy a f*cking world class player for each position that it's needed on. No more quantity buys.

im bored of watching ugly football to be honest, we had it for years with houllier, and now with rafa

it wouldnt be so bad if we were playing great attacking football and still coming up short

I don't think Rafa will br sacked but if he was, there is no one I can think of that good do any better. This is just a rumour but I heard that the Americans want Klinsmans- if this is true- FFS no no no.

You blame the lineup? just the read the comments while back, they were saying with that lineup we should beat them, but hey ho thats football we didn't win why? not the line up, not negative tactics from rafa, ITS JUST WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH! some of our players are not good enough, crouch and kuyt wouldn't have made a difference if they came on 50th minute or 60th minute (maybe crouch), because they are not good enough. We lack quality.

Rafa farked up with his selection...brilliant substitutes tho to throw them in in the last 10 mins...how many shots/crosses/touches have they had?...I lost count

hes an average winger, alright if we wanna finish top 6 but he isnt good enough for a title challenge

Absolutely dominated the game. Unlucky not to have gotten a 2nd. Poor clearance, but a lot of lucky bounces for Wigan, and Bramble !>?!? with that shot. If we win our game in hand, we are 9 points off Arsenal, 7 back of United and 3 off of Chelsea. Granted, it would require some heck of a change in the way we are playing, but I am not going to write off the season. Winning the title, probably too far off, but possibly 2nd or 3rd IF Rafa AND the rest of the team start pulling it together. I said a couple of weeks ago that it would take a lot for me to call for Rafa's head at the end of this season, and that a 5th place finish would do that. But if we do end the season within 7-10 points of the winners, I would be down for another season under rafa, but would encourage him to sell a lot of the fringe and to say that whatever he sells his funds will be matched by the club so he can buy players that are twice as good. We are never going to get anywhere without some stability. And Rafa could not manage the team to the best of his ability (especially long term) if he is constantly worrying about his job.

And yes, I know, it looks REALLLLY bad right now, but people on here need to stop being so knee jerky. It just gets ridiculous sometimes.

Rafa's moaning about lack of money look's like he is trying to buy the league just like chelsea did and if i remember he had a go at chelsea for doing that. Dont get me wrong i think he is a decent cup manager but he make to many mad decisions like not playing Crouch our 2nd best striker. The only player's that should be in our team should be Gerrard,Torres,Carra,Crouch,Reina,Babbel,Machserano,
The funny thing about it is that out of the top 3 teams gerrard and torres would only get in to there team's.
