Why would we want to make money on our players? Unless they want to leave or they are rubbish. I we had to part with Alonso to get a decent finisher I wouldn't accept it.

Being reasonable, I do have grudging respect for a team that can be made to look THAT ordinary for that long that can come along and still nick a result. I just wish it wasn't that team.

They may well win the league this year, but next season I'd like to think that the signings we make will bed in more quickly, and we'll have a lot more consistency as a result.

It's a cruel footballing lesson. It's no good walking over a team if you don't put the ball away. And if it looks like 0-0, the last thing you want to do is get overly physical around the area deep into stoppage time.

There are a lot of positives to take from the game, but it adds up to the fact that we're a very good side that haven't got the winning habit that champions need. If we get that, god help the Mancs next time they come to Anfield. With, for example, a peak-era Fowler in the box, we'd have walked that 2 or 3-0.

Alonso did the Sissoko role better than Sissoko did today. His break-up work outshone his passing at times.

Why anyone's talking about who should leave after a performance like that I have no idea. I'm more interested in who we can bring in to turn those performances into big wins.

Momo made a lot of tackles but his passes were awefull ,for me their is no strikers issue on the team but rather a midefielder which can dribble with the ball and make a deep pass ,we are working too much in patterns ,sometime you need some magic.

Great Effort by the team ,Man-U are just hard as a rock.
