Great match..enjoyed it.

The Bellamy/Kuyt partnership is coming along nicely, I think.

All the boys worked hard and the goals were sweet.

Lets hope this is a taste of things to come. :)

We need a decent left back this summer. Riise was caught short many times, and Charlton targetted the left side all match. Their best chances was when they were taking Riise on, and attacking the left flank. With Gonzo up the field, Riise was exposed, and I don't think we are comfortable at the back when we are attacking up the park. Especially when we have a high defensive line.

great result, we were zipping the ball about nicely at times, although i must admit i was getting a bit :censored: off at our inability to finish the game off earlier....which could have cost us with some of the chances they had, but we did it in the end with some great goals by bellamy and gerrard...

I was very happy with the Arsenal result, n1 pompey...lets park our asses in 3rd places now.

While you can only beat whats put in front of you I thought Charlton were abysmal and we should have scored at least 6 or seven. Riise had a poor game and our right side of the penalty area problem was exposed on a couple of occasions, which could have proved costly.

11 goals with nil against in our last 3 shows we are getting there though.

- Charlton are :censored:.

- Jim Davidson and Garry Bushell support them

- They stand a good chance of being obliterated if the Thames Barrier fails.

- They are heading for relegation.

They don't have much going for them.

Manhattan has noticed that Rafa always says:

"We create chances.....no?"

and

"We create opportunities....no?"

In almost every post match interview he does.

One thought for Djimi.... he did his best for us, but on Sat he validated what most people were saying about him, i.e. his best position for Liverpool is on the opposition side! :D

An entertaining game to watch, especially the first half, which by then we could of been four up. I dont think we'll get an easier away game this season personally Charlton were pi$$ poor. As the old cliche goes 'you can only beat whats put infront of you', I still dont think we're clinical infront of goal and against better opposition we could of paid for not putting the game out of reach. Or even against better teams we may not get the opportunities given to us yesterday especially the first half, we should of put the game to bed by half-time.
Bellamy and Gerrards goals were well taken and Alonso played well, Pennant again for long periods seemed as if he wasnt on the pitch. Gonzalez showed more determination than Pennant which to me shows more about his personallity. Anyway its about time our fixtures and opposition got a bit easier, after the hard start to the season.

Good result boys well done, roll on the Ar$e!
