You know this long kick/pass to the strikers plan is not working very well.

Around new year, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't be keeping an eye on the teams below us.

Games in hand mean absolutely nothing unless you win them. We've got one game in hand over Spurs, but they're only one point behind. And how big a game is the Arsenal match suddenly? If we lose another league game in the next fortnight, and Spurs and Arsenal get a couple of wins, the table is going to look very, very different. :(

Chelsea     25games      66points
Man Utd    25               51
Liverpool    24              45
Tottenham 25              44
Arsenal      24              40

5 games 1 goal? A disgrace. We have made a mess out of it again. Baros was our only striker. He should have stayed. Morientes and Cisse should have left.

If we carry on playing like we did tonight, I can actually see us struggling for the 4th spot. Why the hell didn't we buy a decent striker in the transfer window?

Dudek made one horrible misstake and also should have done better during the second goal.

Our strikers are just awful to be honest but they should also have gotten a hell of a lot better service than they got today.... only long balls being struck towards the goal. To many fancy tricks that didn't work out instead of simpler effective passing.

Traore actually played better than usual. Cisse played quite ok with some descent crosses.

I'm watching it now....the first thing i've noticed is how easily Crouch and especially Nando are knocked off the ball as though they are made of paper....

I totally agree. If I see them play like this again I'll cry like beaten puppy.

at this level of form, or rather, lack of it, we'll have to win the CL again this year, to qualify next year! Unfortunately we'll win sfa without a striker! How many matches have we drawn, or lost lately cos of lack of finishing power! We've dominated teams and lost or drawn! Not good enough!! Bring back Pong! At least he tries!

Alonso wasn't very good with free kicks, he's brilliant when the ball is moving though.
