I think this game is a must win to keep up with Man utd/chelsea. Away from home again and i dont think crouch should start, or atleast certainly not on his own. I would be reluctant to play Cisse upfront with morientes with kewell left side of midfield and riise left back.

-----------Reina-------

Finan--Hypia--Carragher--Riise

Garcia--Gerrard--Alonso--Kewell

-----cisse-----Morientes

Agree it is a must win game but Reina is banned mate, so I think dudek should start as he has more experience that Carson.

There will be definetly a change in the team due to the huge amount of fixtures this month. Rotation is necessary but it needs to be done correctly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fowler started up front with either Morientes or Crouch. I think Alonso might be rested and Hamann played ahead of him instead. I fully expect to see Garcia given a start, we need his creativity and spark on the field.

It's a must win, and I'm 100% positive that this is the game where we'll put this patchy run to bed.

Charlton have been very poor of late, and they still need a fair few points to be out of the relegation reckoning for me. Smertin and Murphy were passing teams to pieces earlier in the season, but with that partnership broken up, they look pretty toothless.

We've been lacking the end product, but on the plus side we haven't been playing particularly poorly, and chances are being made that someone like Fowler would have tucked away.

I'd like to see Robbie get a run out - he's got a good record against Charlton, and I think a start would really help him get into the groove. He's not match fit at the moment, and needs time on the pitch, and as Charlton aren't as physical as Birmingham, I think playing him for at least the first half would be a smart move.

Garcia should start, probably on the right, and if fit I think Kromkamp should deputise for Finnan. He's well overdue a rest.

                              Dudek

Kromkamp/         Carra     Hyypia           Riise
  Finnan

  Garcia            Gerrard    Alonso          Kewell

                       Fowler    Crouch

Bench:
Carson
Morientes
Warnock
Sissoko
Agger (if fit)
Cisse (if he's not)

Id play:

                  Dudek

Finnan   Hyypia Agger   Warnock

Gerrard  Alonso  Hamann  Riise

              Garcia
                   Fowler

Play fowler for nearly 60 mins, then bring on Cisse. (unless robbies on a hattrick).

It's Crouch's turn to be left on merseyside, to work on his heading!

Chelsea are way over the horizon, but I agree, we must keep up with second place.

Hi guys,

Sorry for going off-topic for a second, but I'm a huge LFC fan in South Africa. The EPL news that we get over here is pretty crappy from a print and internet point-of-view, although we get almost every EPL and Cup game televised (our only saving grace)

My question is, what are the most reliable websites for decent, unbiased EPL news etc? I use the Sun just for the tabloidy :censored:, but it doesn't give the 'expert's' opinion etc.

Thanks in advance and UP THE REDS!

When was the last time Dudek played?

I would feel more at ease if carson was in goal :D

Well not sure if Fowler fitness would have come along in 3 days though i guess Charlton a different proposition to Chelsea . Nevertheless i like to see him be given a run out at from the start.
Dudek should be given his chance in goal
