i can understand Rafa using a 4-5-1 formation for AWAY games but not home games, i want to see attacking formation and in my opinion Rafa has made the wrong decision if he has wanted to win today. Cisse should of been playing from the start, Garcia was useless today, sinama looked out of his depth, we looked better as soon as Sissoko came on.

Rafa needs to decide what his european side is like and then decide his league side, they cannot be the same side. Our league form has to be more attacking at home. 1 win and 3 0-0 draw's is not good enough. We have the players to challenge the top 3, we need to make use of them effectively.

Sort it our Rafa

You can't blame rafa for the forward players he has at his disposale.

he can only structure the team, and you can see that with our strong defence.

Its upto the players themsleves to be creative.

January should be intresting

Dare I say it again, but Luis Garcia is the clubfoot of Liverpool. As long as he is in the team, we will score very few goals, as he lacks the inteligence and vision to pass and open up any teams.
How many times did he loose the ball today?

Game after game he fails to deliver.
I cannot believe he was not substituted today.

Sinama had a good game today, and Beni takes him off.

Even the sky sports camera's tought that Garcia was coming off. When the substitute's were being made, they kept zooming in on Garcia, but he wasn't coming off. Even at one stage, Garcia himself tought he was coming off. He's a joke.

I know I am going to get some retaliation for this post but I know more people will agree with me than disagree. So what if he scores the odd goal, in the long run, the team will suffer from his ineptitude.

This season could be a club record for Liverpool, with the least amount of Premiership goals scored in a season.

Thats as long as Garcia is in the team week in, week out.

Im afraid Rafa benitez has to take the flak for us not scoring.
Also, he took off Pongolle instead of garcia

whats all this cr*p of playing one up front and five in midfield?

Aren't we being overly cautious? Thats how you play away, not at home.

Cisse really is bad. he makes no effort to run after the ball and is lazy. Read a previous post called "Cisse, is he another Heskey"  was a good read.

I thought we played well and dominted the game, all we need now are strikers who can score.

I notice I was right about Garcia crunching Keane!!!! Hahahahahaha!!!!!Why didn't the ball smack the jock gimp Fergie, though? It's only half a job, Luis!!!!!

Seriously though, I think we were the better side today, and although our shooting prowess is matched by a sea urchin, the performance overall showed a vast improvement on last seasons scum visit. We didn't look nervous at the back, were dominant in midfield, and Crouch put the wind up Rio "The Snorter" Ferdinand quite a bit. Mainly, though, it was Reina who made the biggest difference. How many pot shots would spooney have had if Jerzy had been between the sticks? I know many of you will be too busy ruing the fact it's 2 points dropped, and the 4-5-1 system, but it's pretty obvious we are heading in the right direction now, and we can't be on a par with Arsenal's fluency and Sh*tski's dominance in 5 minutes. The futures bright. The futures red. :;):

It is true Garcia had an absolute stinker. He must have conceded possession at least 20 times today. Pathetic. I could pass more accurately than that. We had numerous good moves ended by his wayward passing.
On another issue, Alonso had a quiet game aswell. He's starting to lose accuracy in his passing. In fact, he's been like it for most of this season. What's up, Xabi?

True Xabi a bit quite today but he did his defensive duties well.

He has scored our only league goal though.

But we know he is class.

Form is temporary, class is permanent

True enough Bermenstein.

What about 3-5-2? That could work just as it did against AC Milan.

I said earlier on in this thread  that Garcia  is our weakest link, but be honest with you Alonso is only at 70 % too.All said and done we are at least picking up points we didnt last year, but equally i,m no different with my frustration as most of you at the lack of goals.

Agreed.

3-5-2? I wouldn't alter our back four at present. Upset the balance and we could start to leak goals again.

Question. Did anyone else see Roy Keane deliberately kick FSP in the face today? The commentators didn't pick it up. It was a clear straight red card. Im sure he wishes he had been sent off now.

I watched the replay a few times. Im convinced he deliberately extended his right lower leg to make contact with FSP's face. It was subtle but Im sure the intent was there. Watch it again if you get the chance.
