What he said was:
"It's very important [to keep him], he's a top player, he's been here for seven years now, he's one of the fans' favourites," the 33 year-old told ESPN.
"He shows passion and commitment every time he plays. It might be one of those situations where it's not in Daniel's hands, and it's up to the owners at the end of the day.
"The manager has gone on record and said that every player has got his price, so we'll have to wait and see, but of course if you ask me I want him to stay. I want all our best players to stay."
Seems like Agger wanting to stay and the manager wanting to sell from what Gerrard is saying. Would be very disappointed if thats the case.
