The same things were said about Fernando Torres throughout the winter transfer window and then 'Boom', he departed for Chelsea. So never say never, my friend! I hope Agger does stay and I hope if he does leave it's not to another English club, we don't want to turn into Arsenal Mark 2 now.

I don't think they treated Kenny badly at all. Everyone at the club was saddened to see him depart, but I feel they were more than justified in sacking him after what was our worst league season for nearly sixty years. I'd have liked to have seen him stay for another year to see if he could turn our fortunes around, but FSG have decided to instill Rodgers as our manager and so far, so good. Hopefully things will start to get better from here on in.

I don't think FSG have treated our players badly at the end of the day it was Rodgers who decided to sell these players or allow them to leave on their own accord. Kuyt and Maxi were goners from last season. Kenny wasn't playing them, Kuyt wanted a new challenge, somewhere else and Maxi wanted to go back to Argentina. Aquilani seemed to jump at the chance to return to Italy at the first available opportunity. Agger is still our player and who says we're signing Dempsey?

Na mate.  That's not how I see it.  Torres said he was commited to the club in the summer and after it went tits up with Roy he had had enough.  The little bit.ch handed in a request and got his big payday.

Don't see the same happening with Agger at all.  He will thrive this season.  If I'm wrong I will eat Rodger's Red Hat.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

i just meant they prefer younger upcoming managers. Kenny only got the job because they saw how much respect he had. But in there ideal world as in brendan a younger manager would be there preference. I agree kennys signings cost him his job and dempsey has been linked with possible Adam going other way i hope but all speculation and paper talk before you say.

the club havent helped, they could have easily just said `daniel is not for sale, end of story`.
all this `every player has his price` malarky just invited speculation about his future.
there`s been too many cryptic answers coming out of the club this summer whenever someone has asked a question about one of our players, the way the club has acted it`s no wonder so many of our better players have been linked with moves away from anfield. we have given the impression that if clubs have the right money they can have our players.

Well, Agger can talk all he want and say the right things but only one thing speaks the truth... a contract extention!
If he doesn't dign one before the coming summer it was just that, all talk.

Maybe it's a power struggle between the club and player. It was reported man city and barca came in because negotiations stalled for aggress contract extension. Maybe the 'every player has a price' came about because the club wants to show the player that he isn't indispensible... Maybe there is a policy in place by NESV that if a player doesn't sign a contract extension, then the club would have to cut the losses by selling him instead of letting him go for nothing or peanuts...

Weren't Citeh linked with Skittle earlier? Kinda sounds a bit suspect doesn't it. I don't recall hearing anything offical from Citeh either?

Yup, early this summer it was Reina, followed by Skrtel. Now it's Agger.

Don't rule out rumors of Stevie G being next  :rasp

the bottom line in that headline reads:

"Agger now even more wants to become one of the most popular Liverpool players, and he will be known for an unheard loyalty, in an otherwise faithless footballing world.".
