But gone are the days where we can pay a squad player 40k a week or so. Chelsea and city have spoiled the market. And I'm pretty sure Rooney earns higher than Gerrard. Probably even spurs players may earn higher than hours. We have to stay competitive...
Agger's agent, Per Steffensen, confirmed today that the setback will see the 26-year-old, who has endured a string of injuries during his time at Anfield, out of action for up to a month.
"It's the worst possible news," Steffensen told sportentv2.dk.
"He has broken two ribs, and he must keep still for four weeks."

the guy is out not because he's made of glass but the fact is that he more than likely got clattered in the ribs.you dont break ribs by stretching.
he will be missed but we should be thankful we have coates as back up.

Agger for me isnt that much better a defender than Skrtel and it remains to be seen whether hes better than Coates. Certainly not better than Carragher for me. Obviously in the absence of Skrtel through suspension we'll see a Coates-Carra partnership so hopefully that works out well.
We're a top CB short unless Coates proves to be a dominant force.
