We need to strengthen the first team first and foremost, getting rid of Kuyt is pointless

I agree, however I wouldn't mind having Kuyt as a plan b striker. He showed his goal scoring instincts against the mancs, always getting into right positions.

he wasn't in the right position when he blocked carroll's goal-bound header which ultimately meant we were knocked out of europe on thursday. of course, nobody will mention that as it pours scorn on his latest tag line - "right place at the right time"
"works hard"

So Kuyt gets the flack for Carrol heading the ball on Kuyt.priceless. There is not way Kuyt could react that quickly.

So Kuyt gets the credit for scoring a hat trick of tap ins against man utd.priceless. He could hardly f'cking miss!
Since we're being objective, is that what you're saying? Or...

The thing is that during those tap ins he still have time to react. Running in the correct areas etc. During that header from Carrol Kuyt actually did the right thing. He is around the danger zone for tapping in loose balls but unluckily Carrol heads the ball on him.

I see what you're saying brother...
But, if along with "works hard", "right place at the right time" is being offered as his latest tag line to counter those who judge his ability based on his: lack of pace, tunnel vision, non existant dribbling ability, terrible passing ability, comedic first touch and embarrassing finishing ability outside the 6yrd box... Why has he only scored (undeflected - ie. non-fluke) goals in open play in 2 games in the league this season?
I know the answer but would love to hear more from those who would never trade winning things for seeing dirk working hard for years to come for Liverpool. He doesn't win trophies - the evidence is overwhelming [FULL-STOP]

And now he wants an extention!!
He is going 2 be 33 when his contract expires.
Who in their right mind would offer him a longer contract seeing as he getting worse already...?
