Great question

Probably the same thing Manuel from Fawlty Towers said every time Basil asked him a question....

:D

no, it was, "you run around too much". then gerrard stopped running around so much and became the best midfielder in the world.

yet, dirk kuyt is applauded for running around like a headless chicken at 4mph for 95 minutes every game. if anybody else on the planet was as slow as him, i'm sure they wouldn't need to stop running during a full game of football. even at his top speed, he's hardly burning calories. works hard.

Love Kuyts attitude and desire but im not gonna be like most and change my tune on him just coz he scored a hat trick against the mancs. He gives us one great performance every 7 and thats not good enough to warrant a place in a team that needs to be the best. Good squad player and i bet hes nice to have around the dressing room but if were serious about returning to the top we need far better players in the starting line up

"deadly dirk"
"hat trick hero"

to be frank, yet another pathetic performance from the first name on the team sheet. passionate, but brainless.

Yep it just painfull watching him trying to play football ,it was obvious the Manc game was a floke ,and he would return to his usual display. But then again i don't blame the lad ,he is a true fighter for a LFC and deserves all our support and love but he no longer deserves a starting red shirt. It's about time our manager notice it.

his first touch was naff last night, and everytime he did manage to control it he turned away to the oppos goal and passed backwards, very frustrating to watch. With Carroll in the side Dirk will be replaced and become a squad player at right wing and striker
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

I agree, but I'm not so sure Kenny does.

With everyone fit, I think we'll see a front 3 of

kuyt       Suarez
     Carroll

infront of a 3 of Gerrard, Meireles, Lucas

Problem is Kuyt can do one thing and that thing he does great...
poke home rebounds

He can not do anything on his own and is totally dependant on our team dominating play and that our other players around him are creating chances and make things happen.

When we try to rely on him to make things happen we will be majorly disappointed as it will never happen.

Kuyt needed to adapt his game in order to utilise the space Carrol made available with his runs and knockdowns ,and to put it bluntly he failed spectacularly ....I think Suarez will be lethal in partnership with Carrol because of his pace and ingenuity ,but I'm afraid Kuyt may have missed the boat when it comes to being paired up front with the Lad

Lovely guy, tireless worker, 100% honesty, grafter, excellent team-mate, loyal, and has come up with the odd crucial goal (especially in Europe)... but... touch of a rapist.

Hes endemic of our averageness.

I agree, however I wouldn't mind having Kuyt as a plan b striker. He showed his goal scoring instincts against the mancs, always getting into right positions.
