Redknapp, "I'm not being presumptuous turning down Liverpool, because I haven't been offered the job and haven't spoken to anyone about it. "There is no need, as I have one year left on my contract at Tottenham and I'm not thinking about anything other than being at White Hart Lane next season. "I can tell you I've not been offered a new contract, but that doesn't mean I'm looking to move on. Far from it. "I'm loyal to Spurs, I want to stay at Spurs and I have a contract with Spurs. I'd be happy to sign a new contract at Spurs if I was offered one."
Thank God for that
There's nothing in there that says he wouldn't take the Liverpool job, if offered.
All Harry's doing here is playing a good media game. He's saying here that Liverpool haven't approached him re: the job. He's also saying that Spurs haven't approached him either with a new contract. But, he'll take it, if offered.
There's no real commitment either way here.
In fact, one could read that as a wink to Liverpool to get the arses in gear if they want to make an offer, or else Spurs will get him.
For me to totally write off Harry from being the next Liverpool manager, he would have to categorically state that he absolutely didn't want the Liverpool managers job.
Any other shite and the game remains on.
