Why did we sack Rafa? Because we finished 7th or because the yanks want to sell off our best players? If its the former then get used to 7th - 12th place finishes from now on if we're lucky. Goodbye CL football............

ciggy, i am not going to say my word for it as things can change fast in football, but everything so far points to Gerrard and torres staying at out club, john terry seem to think the same, so far he is the only person in the england camp to talk to the press outside of agreed press events.

i hope he is right, i would be gutted to see both of them leave this club, I dod feel there is a better chance that thay will stay now rafa has gone, i know you dont think there is anything in the reports about liverpool players not getting on with him but there is a good chance that it is true.

i am not posting on what otherrs have told me, i am posting this to you about my on view.

getting a new manager was always going to be a problem if well held off too long, if the club had let rafa go in March then there is a good chance we would have got a very big named manager, but we did not. i am not sure the next manager will get a long contract , i think the club know very well how they wish to have as manager at this club and bit just give a short contract to a manager so they can move him on if that right person pops up.

JOM would have loved to have been out manager but we could not give him what he was asking for, sad to say that it is down to the like of MON and Roy Hodgson now.

out of the two i would take MON but others seem sure it is Roy.

the next few weeks is going to be hard for any liverppol fan and i am not sure its going to get much better untill the club is sold or at least untill RBS set the price of the club.

the answer is we dont know.

I hope it was because he wasnt good enough.

Time will tell, and until i know anything different for sure i choose to believe it was because he failed miserably last season.

In all honesty I would sooner a no nonsense manager like McLeish took over rather than Hodgson ,at least he possesses a bit of fight about him whereas Woy just doesn't seem to have the twaits needed for a wigorous season in the Pwemiership or for that matter the obvious distwaction that Euwope would pwove
