ok theres talk in the news room (yes i know) that Keeny would be given a provisional six months contract as manager if the right person has not been found by end of the world cup, his job would to be to get the team ready for the start of the new season. i dont see why this would be untrue, it would be a safe thing to do in my view.

I doubt whether Dalglish will take charge of the side. Would he really want that stress again? Having said that what about him in the consultant role that Paisley had when Dalglish first became boss in 85. Would anyone want Sammy Lee in charge on a trial basis in that situation? Personally I'd be happy for Roy Evans to be given another go but I can't see it happening.

As much as Dossena didn't make a huge impact in every game, he is three times the player Insua is.

As of yesterday Daglish has been put in temporary charge Lakes so that contract may already be in place. Im starting to think that Kenny and Sammy could do a better job than some of the names being thrown around, for instance I dont think think there is a worse fit for the manager post at Liverpool than Mark Hughes, not that I think hes a bad coach but as a former Manc without a great deal of success behind him he'd be on a hiding to nothing from day one. Im also sure that most of us would be aghast at Sven getting the post after some of the dreck hes been associated with since his rather uninspiring England tenure. That Mexico team that played so well against England last week? Under Erikkson they were awful
