Comfertable Lead. Revenge of the beachball

Henderson, Gerrard and Lucas aren't getting beyond the half way line!

I felt that the likes of Moses, though he's playing well, he kept running out of ideas in the final 3rd.

Moses still has been a solid solid performer today.

If Stevie does nothing else that pass was fantastic, equally brilliant was Danny's first touch and Luis got himself in a great position for Danny's superb cross - GREAT GOAL but Sunderland aren't finished and we need to be very focused in the second half.

JUST HOPE ALL THE LUIS HATERS ON HERE ENJOYED THE GOAL - MISERABLE FKRS !!!!!!

People playing like Sturridge's goal should've been a handball.. He pulled his arm inward toward his body and it was tucked, you'll almost never get called for that.

Skrtel's goal rightly disallowed for offside, but then Gardner almost scored but from a great save from Mignolet in an offside position, and then Johnson's hit off the crossbar was from a foul that was never a foul. People can cry unfair all they want, but the bad calls have gone in favor to Sunderland, the difference is that we actually scored ours.

Ok half. Suarez was a little rusty on his passing, but with the ball at his feet. In the end, we are kinda getting outplayed by the worst team in the league right now, so we probably need to change that...

It's because he's playing as number 10 and he's not that. Not creative enough. Should stick him to the wing or not play him at all. Would rather have Alberto there in the second half.

More like a Rafa style performance than pass and move. Keep it tight and take your chances. Not beautiful but winning football,at least so far.I will take the points no matter how we get them. One more and we can relax.

I actually feel bad for Altidore.  He does really well for the US when he's got support.  He's doing all of the hold up play but the bunch of donkeys on the pitch for Sunderland have him so isolated.

No complaints at all about the first half.  Great to see Sturridge and Suarez on the same pitch finally.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Keep it up will get the 2nd pretty soon. Can't hold the ball for the life of ours. Very poor performance ,relying on individual abilities to bail us out...
