Sunderland vs LIVERPOOL : Sunday 29th Sept 2013 : 4pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

interesting to hear roberto martinez`s thoughts on playing 3 at the back on motd last night. he had some success with it at wigan but he said the squad at your disposal almost dictates the way you play, if you have 3 very good CB`s in your squad and you are sometimes light in midfield then 3 at the back could work for that particular club.
given our squad is overloaded with CB`s after we went nuts with our credit card at the end of the transfer window and given our lack of athleticism in the middle of the park maybe 3 at the back is the way forward for us?

One of our major failings in recent years is failing to make our mark when others F up. All we need to do today is turn up and do it. Sounds simple. It's in our hands once more.

as much as this is a potential banana skin it`s also an unbelievable opportunity to draw a line through the past few (difficult) weeks, if we win by a couple of clear goals we can leapfrog into second place and place ourselves within striking distance of the leaders arsenal (2 points), with very winnable fixtures on the immediate horizon (palace (H), newcastle (A), west brom (H)) we can reignite our season here.

We could and should. One area of concern for me is goal-scoring from non-strikers. It's vital to most successful teams. We need Moses, Hendo, Enrique, Stevie, Skrtel and the like to contribute. I hope to see an understanding developing between Sturridge and Suarez.

Was thinking the same thing. Thought we could go five in a row before we played Southampton but Sh*t happens. We must win these 4 following fixtures if we want to be serious candidates for CL spot though.

Defense is good on paper but hasn't delivered much so far. The rest of the team looks solid.

Kelly not even on the bench. Illori is though.

B'stard Sky are at it already, playing the Jaws theme whilst showing a montage of Suarez clips.  :kungfu:

Mind you, it did make him look quite scary  in a good way  :D

That formation looks a bit different than what I thought we would play. Looks much better this way and it was something that I wanted us to play, even though it will be a bit risky.

Brendan's black tie, black suit combo is bad.
