Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby The Good Yank » Wed Jan 02, 2013 6:14 am

I've never opened a match thread up before so I hope it's a good one.  First game of the new year, lads should be up for it blah blah blah

I think we'll do the job against this bunch.  C'mon lads!!!

Oh sorry, Forgot to mention the gametime. It's on here in the States at 2:45 PM on ESPN Deportes (yes I've checked to make sure I've got that channel) So I guess that makes it 7:45 pm for those of you on the other side of the Atlantic.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I'm hoping we give them a real good hiding.

hoping we get home win to kick off the new year on a good note.
we can well beat them but we need to be mindful of set pieces and long balls. hopefully our johnson can keep their johnson quiet as he is their most dangerous player from open play and we need to contain his runs.
ill push the boat out and say we'l cruise to a 2.0 win :buttrock
cmon redmen!!

I've got a feeling we'll draw this 1-1.

No chance, I enjoy posting on this forum and unless I have broken any terms of service then I do not see why I shouldn't continue posting. Speaking of which, what has happened to Benny the Noon?

Starting XI: Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Lucas, Henderson, Gerrard, Downing, Sterling, Suarez

Good to see BR has dropped the Downing at LB atrocity and good to see Wisdom back.

Sadly i'm not so sure wisdom is much of an improvement, but still we should win this 1-0.

my worry is over Lucas, he has not been the same player since he come back, giving the ball away far too much and keeps pulling out of tackles.

He's just a little rusty, he needs more game time to get back to his best.

yes you are right and i understand why he is pulling out of things but not sure i would start him all the time, think it was better the other day sticking him on latter.

Stewart Downing with a dangerous free kick, he's definitely improved a lot since Rodgers openly criticised him a few months ago.
