LIVERPOOL VS BOLTON WANDERERS - 30 jan 2010, ko: 15:00

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Madmax » Wed Jan 27, 2010 7:38 pm

Liverpool are back in action on Saturday when the Reds taken on Bolton Wanderers in the Barclays Premier League clash at Anfield.

Benitez's side will be aiming to collect three points and extend their six-match winning run against the Lancashire club.

Liverpool have not lost to Bolton since September 2006, when they went down 1-0 at the Reebok.

The Trotters' last league win at Anfield came in January 1954 - though they have claim a FA and League Cup victories in front of the Kop since, most recently in 2003.

Earlier this campaign, Bolton twice led against the Reds at the Reebok, only for goals from Glen Johnson, Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard to secure a pulsating 3-2 triumph for Benitez's charges.

Another one of those unpredictable matches..

We all understand we lacked creativity against wolves and were too defensive. In this match i would perfer if rafa paired macha with aquilani or gerrard and played ngog and kuyt upfront.

Bolton will be confident with Coyle starting to turn things around there, we need to kill this game off early. As good as he has been playing I hope Lucas is dropped for Aqua.

Anyone know how long Johnno is out for?

I'm sad to say that I'm fully expecting another performance of similar standard.

I hope I'm proven wrong.

we're gonna stuff these man, 4:1
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

We need the crowd to get behind the team in a big way and not just save the big atmospheres for the evening kick-offs!!  I know its difficult to get vocal when the team is playing sh*t but we need to raise the roof early doors so we can steamroll bolton!!!!

no doubt we need the 3 points.
rafa needs to stop man playing these games( a la wolves) and focus on getting us playing well, creating and attacking with a bit of conviction!!!
hope to see a line up like this if alls fit.
reina
carragher,agger,kyrigiakos,aurelio.
             masch.
                       gerrard.
maxi                                 riera
              ngog  kuyt.
imo we need to play 2 up front at home to signal our intention from the start.if we persist with the same formation in the last few games we will get choked!!!. if gerrard isnt fit to start id play aqua in the same role at cm.if we revert to a lone option up front id keep gerrard at cm and push aqua forward with kuyt.
more importantly its obvious we need to start playing better football and the manager needs to adopt better tactics!!!
lets hope we get both and a 2.0 win!!
