BOLTON WANDERERS VS LIVERPOOL - 31 october 2010, ko: 16:00

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Madmax » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:03 pm

Liverpool travel to the Reebok Stadium on Sunday to take on Bolton Wanderers.

The Reds will be hoping to collect three points in Lancashire for the second successive season after a pulsating 3-2 triumph over the Trotters last term.

Liverpool have not lost at the Reebok since a 2-0 reversal in September 2006.

--------------------------------------------------------------

After our first win since god knows when, the players and manager should feel a slight sense of ease with small amounts of confidence should be circulating around.

However its going to be a bit of a tricky one considering bolton are not an easy side.

They have been decent at home notching 1 win a 3 draws with no losses...

I'm hoping we play like we did against blackburn but i just have doubts.

Imo 1-1!

I'm going to this and fully expect us to revert to type. Despite the result on sunday and a much improved performance I've seen nothing to suggest that we'll take the same attacking approach away from home.

Expect to see Torres completely isolated once again as the defence knock long aimless balls forward all day.

If we play like Sunday then we should win , if we play like all other matches this season then we'll loose but the silver lining will be that Woy gets the boot.

play with the same zip as we did last Sunday and we'll have too much for them. This could be the game where Roy breaks his awful run of away day loses, providing he sets the team out correct.

I'd hope for Cole to be creative and Torres to look sharp again.

Bolton 0 - 2 Liverpool  (Torres, Merelies)

I hate Bolton, a team of hackers even when Sammy was there.   1-0 to us in an ugly and easily forgettable game.

A header by The Greek on the half way line.

You're right Hayesy, I think it was FS that took them from a footballing side into hackers, unfortunately the reputation stuck. :(

With Chelsea next Roy knows he HAS to win this one.  I think if you offered him 4 points from the two games now he'd snatch your hand off!!

We cannot leave Torres isolated, and have to play with the same tempo as we did last time out.

I'd go with

               Reina

Kelly    Carra   Greek    Aurelio

Maxi   Lucas  Mereiles  Cole

             Gerrard
                   Torres

Soto's form and dominance in the air will be vital vs Kevin Davies.

Aurelio plays for me.  Even if he is half fit (and let's face it he always is) I'd play him before Konchesky.

No league cup this week, so no reason to make major changes to the side from last Sunday.

1-2  Torres (2)

Ill take any win at all.  Hopefully Torres gets on the scoresheet again.
But i predict a draw.

The Greek has to play imo. This game would suit him down to the ground, Bolton just launch the ball and we need someone of his ariel ability to cope with this, and yet i know im jumping the gun but he wouldnt be in there against Chelsea , different ballgame different way of playing and i think he will get found out , The blackburn and Bolton games and the likes are made for him, So id have the greek in with either Carra or Skrtel. and Kelly right back. No two holding midfielders either, Meirles and Lucas in for me,

I don't really follow much football aside form our games these days but I'm sure i've read that Bolton have been playing some decent stuff now that Owen Coyle has put his stamp on the team or is that not the case?

Scott he will be perfect against Kevin Davis mate, You know how Davis likes to play rough ,he loves it  :;): The Greek imo will handle him perfect . Horses for courses as they say. and yet i think against the likes of Anelka and Drogba hed come unstuck
