Thanks mate, but I'd thank the ones who had the will to rate the players after that game.

Newkit player of the month AUGUST

Games:

Stoke (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Arsenal (A)
West Ham (H)

Candidate:                        Rating:                   Games played:

Simon Mignolet                      6.6                         4
Nathaniel Clyne                     7                            4
Emre Can                              6.6                          4 (started 2)
Phillipe Coutinho                   6.8                          4
Christian Benteke                  6.5                          4

And the winner is..........    NATHANIEL CLYNE. Although Coutinho has the most man of the match awards (two), Clyne has regularly kept a high rating and has been the more consistent of the two

Yeah they deserve a medal  :D
I only listened to it on the radio, I watched the goals on MOTD and that was bad enough

I apologise for not doing player ratings...I was there and have spent the last 2 weeks trying to erase the memory

I didn't vote as I (fortunately ?) didn't see the West Ham game, but Cheers Damjan for keeping the thread alive.

UNITED V LIVERPOOL

Mingolet - 6 can't really fault him for any of the goals but he looked shaky in possession
Clyne - 7 one of our better performers on the day
Skrtel - 5 not one of his best games, in fact he just gave United's new £36m signing a huge boost of confidence thanks to his inept defending
Lovren - 5 the usual, how the hell he is in the side ahead of Sakho God only knows
Gomez - 5 looks good at times but also makes a lot of mistakes, going to be a top player but he's also got a lot to learn
Lucas - 6 tried to get about United's midfield but didn't have much success, one or two very loose passes as well
Milner - 4 Mr Anonymous, can't believe Rodgers wants to build our midfield around him and Hendo
Can - 7 he wasn't spectacular but at least he looked @rsed
Firmino - 5 struggled to influence the game
Ings - 5 hard to judge him when he was obviously playing to orders and doing a job for the team
Benteke - 8 feel sorry for him having to lead the line in a team like this, no help or support but still managed to score a great goal.

Mignolet - 5 - can't blame him for any of the goals but some of his mistakes were Sunday league stuff
Clyne - 4 - struggled at times and was poor going forward
Skrtel - 4
Lovren - 4
Gomez - 3 - I don't blame him though, he's a kid, I blame Rodgers for overusing him
Lucas - 4
Milner - 4 - I'm starting to hate this guy with a passion, I cringe every time I see him with the armband
Can - 5
Frimino - 4 - wasted out wide
Ings - 5 - also wasted out wide but I though he did OK defensively
Benteke - 6 - for the goal

Subs:
Ibe - 5 - had a good shot at goal once, no more than that
Origi - 5 - lively, but didn't (and couldn't) do much
Moreno - N/A

Mingolet - 4 still doesn't inspire confidence.
Clyne - 5 got forward when he could but given a run around by young in the 2nd half.
Skrtel - 4 thought he did ok
Lovren - 4 better with 8 men within 5 feet of him because there is less chance of him fooking up.
Gomez - 4 poor game but typical rodgers playing lads out of position until eventually they get exposed.
Lucas - 4 Not great today, careless at times in all the confusion.
Milner - 3 Fooking Plodder but again it would be hard to think of anything else when someone has their head embedded up your hole.
Can - 4 Seen him looking frustrated with a few and I'd say he ran a marathon during that game.
Firmino - 3 Didn't think he showed an awful lot in his previous games and showed nothing today.
Ings -3 Only got a game because of his defensive work and then got shafted to let Origi partner benteke. Keeps running with his head down and chases shadows.
Benteke - 5 It would have been a 3 only for that goal because he did fooking nothing. He doesn't have to worry about it though because after the first 5 games and the fact that we created absolutely fooking shyte in all of them the Genius is going to maybe have a look at that for you.

Mignolet 4 - looks nervous with the ball at his feet, which puts the defence on edge.

Clyne 4 - did well first half shutting out Depay. Made a mistake second half giving away the freekick for the first goal.

Lovren 4 - didn't do nothing wrong for a change, got out muscled a few times from Fellani.

Skrtel 4 - played ok, did quite well with the ariel threat of Fellani.

Gomez 3 - inexperience showed giving away the cheap penalty.

Milner 3 - Woeful, headless chicken ...  showed no leadership qualities!

Lucas 3 - he looked sluggish and gave so many free kicks away in dangerous areas.

Can 3 - gave the ball away most of the game, was slow in closing Down.. He had a stinker.

Firmino 3 - I know he's a class act, but today he was terrible and well  off the pace.

Ings 3 - tried hard but he's obviously not a winger.

Benteke 5 - he was terrible apart from the spectacular goal.

BORDEAUX V LIVERPOOL

MINGOLET - 6 no chance with the goal and made a couple of decent saves but he just doesn't fill me with confidence for some reason
SAKHO - 8 along with Rossiter my MoM, his ability to pass the ball out of defence is sorely missed in the first team, best CB at the club imo.
TOURE - 5 bit unlucky to be booked and then taken out by Mingolet in quick succession
GOMEZ - 7 the lads a CB not a LB, his recovery pace is a great asset to have. Should be used as a CB from now on.
MORENO - 7 should be the first team LB
CAN - 7 another one who looks more comfortable in the back line
ROSSITER - 8 MoM display from the lad, covered every blade of grass and used the ball well
LALLANA - 7 not his biggest fan but he did well tonight, cracking goal as well
IBE - 5 looks a bit heavy to me, I don't know if he's spending too much time in the gym beefing up or what but he has deffo lost some of his dynamism
COUTINHO - 6 not his best night but still the best player at the club
ORIGI - 5 held the ball up well but needs to get himself into more goal scoring positions

Mignolet - 6
Gomez - 6 - talented lad but his inexperience shows at times. Shouldn't be letting players get past him like that
Toure - 6 - unfortunate to be injured and subbed off
Sakho - 7.5 - wow, we have a CB in our team?
Moreno - 6.5 - OK but still looks braindead to me
Can - 6.5
Rossiter - 7 - nothing too spectacular but put a shift in
Lallana - 6.5 - good goal but otherwise awful I thought
Ibe - 6 - slight improvement from the last few games but still didn't show much
Coutinho - 6
Origi - 6

Subs:
Chirivella - 6
Ings - 6
Branagan - N/A
