Lets face it. It looks like we'll be waiting till after the World Cup, by which time the transfer window will be practically over if the Yanks give us any money to spend (I'm not holding my breath).

Although if Italy and England get knocked out in the group stages maybe it's a good time to go for Lippi or Capello?

Lippi might be ok but Capello? The kiss of death. Who seriously believes he'll play pass and move football that is any better than that practised by Benitez, given the tripe England have come up with in this world cup?

Capello is a great manager, possibly one of the best out there. I'd have him here in a heartbeat.

Wasn't Capello the coach of Roma when they went to Anfield in the last eight of the champions league in 2002 and were beaten 2-0 by Houllier's Liverpool?

He's quite over-rated from what I can see and this world cup has confirmed as much.

Marcelo Lippi is 70 years old, his club management days are over. From his hype at Madrid IIRC Capello has won the league with every clubs hes been manager of, though Im sure someone will Wiki that and make me look like a numpty
