I think people need to understand, Liverpool were LUCKY against Man Utd last week. Wes Brown won that game for Liverpool, not Liverpool.

Disagree, tony...... we outplayed 'em and deserved the 3 points IMO.... but for poor finishing we'd have done 'em a couple more goals.

That's kinda what I'm saying Conor. Liverpool were not going to get goals against Utd last week, but for Brown and a lucky mis-kick.

and something that i think should of been addressed during the transfer window is the situation at ful back. all the full backs we have are't good enough. in todays football i think they are possibly one of the most important positions on the pitch. a good full back should offer the team so much. be able to defend and more importantly be able to attack. look at the three most succesful teams (bar ourselves) full backs....
mancs   evra, brown, not so much brown but evra is awesome he gives them so much, pace ,gettin to the byline (which is a dying art).

chelsea    bosingwa, cole, very similar to evra

aresanal   clichy (class) sagna boyh up and down getting beyond the wingers and even strickers to the byline and cutting it back.

we simply don't have it. it's a massive disadvantage

its not the end of the world that result if the team go on a long run..but it would have been so nice to send out a message that liverpool this season is different from other seasons.

title challenge over, gerrard and torres will surely put in transfer requests. liverpool will fall into the sea and mankind will be destroyed by a blackhole   :sniffle

youd think that this only ever happens to liverpool fc and that it will be reason we dont win the league ffs, if it wasnt for poor finishing and a bizzare refereeing decision it could have easily been 3 or 4 goals. utd, chelsea and arsenal will and have lost games against unfancied teams, its what makes football such a compelling game, you just never know. So for all the doom merchants out there, please just take it on the chin. Bad result? Yes. End of title challenge? Hardly

To be fair, neither Clichy or Bosingwa could have helped us today.  They would have crossed all day long, but the Stoke defenders would have just dealt with them.  The problem today was the strikers, they were not good enough.  Torres seems very rusty right now and Keane is terribly off form.  Btw Arbeloa and Dossena were good today but we just did not have any presence in the box today.

Fecking been away from three days . Sh!te results , Sh!te game and we need to start picking up points against stoke ffs , teams we SHOULD BE BEATING . After today , i can comfortably say that torres will not hit 25 goals this season , maybe 20 at maximum , defenders have figured out his style of play , he gets the ball , they rather foul him . I fecking gutted that we could not beat stoke and get the 3 points , great chance for us to go top and get a lead with manure and chelsea playing tomorrow . Arsenal have gotten an easy 4 games so far and the only easy one we have had is stoke . Still not an excuse , we could have been 14 out of 15 .

What gets me angry is that when we beat a good title side like the mancs the next game we should continue that form and capitalise our lead. But agains a crappy team like stoke we could just about draw 0-0... Thats the reason why i have not backed us for the title is because we always lack consistency..
