Because I would like to remind you that there are four competitions in which Liverpool Football Club took part in last season, not just the Champions League. So maybe broaden the horizon and look beyond that one competition and you may see football on the whole in a completely different light.

my opinion is based on the whole package mate - have said before his goal record in the league wasnt the greatest but he isnt the only person who didnt perform in the league and he isnt the reason why we didnt win the league . hence why i have mentioned the league game this season against the mancs when he performed very well indeed .

the league is important , the cl is just as important then comes the fa cup then the mickey mouse cup .

True

Winning doesnt matter. It's the taking part that counts

overall big picture - getting as far as we can in the cl is more important to the club than winning the mickey mouse carling cup .

Not at the moment mate, all it does is delay the inevitable sale of our club. We may as well have a few good memories of lifting trophies as put money in those two tw@ts pockets.

i also meant in terms of us keeping our big players as well , masher gerrard torres pepe etc want to play cls footy not cc footy .

All the more reason to play Dirk less often in the league or we may not qualify next season.

we qualified with him last season and the season before . helped us to our biggest win of the season so far .

Fair enough and I agree his goals in Europe last season were vital. If he can bring that goalscoring record to the domestic front, I'd be more than happy.

i would be delighted as well mate , at the moment he is working hard and creating chances and would love him to start finding the scoring touch he has in europe in the prem as well .
