Could become the first Liverpool player to score in 5 consecutive league games since the premiership started, which is amazing given some of the players we've had down the years.

Who would of thought that oul Dirk would have a chance of breaking another record that Fowler, Owen and Torres all failed to break!

His hatrick against the Mancs also broke some records i believe.  And the lad must have a 100% success rate at taking pens this season.  (Touches wood)

it'll be interesting to see where he plays the majority of his games this season. when he played upfront last season he was on fire for the last 10-15 games. personally i get the feeling that he won't start as many games as he did last season although he'll start all the big games imo. he's a big game player.

i just don't want to see him on the right if we play 4-4-2. it's a waste. i'd much rather see henderson out there in that formation.

And once again I'll say that we will win **** all as long as he is a starting player. Always is and always has been a mediocre footballer... who works very hard. That equates to 0 titles.

Will of course be remembered as a legend though he was the player who played the most minutes during one of the clubs longest trophy droughts in team history....

Yep. For ever the loyal hard worker and deserves our outmost respect and gratitude but it is time to move on.

His lack of speed complimented by his poor foot work and ball control just doesn't cut it anymore. Sub for me.

Still a vital player, he'll be what Park is to United if we do find the success we all want to achieve.  He'll be considered a legend for the countless amounts of important contributions he has made to LFC, and the dedication he has shown to the club the entire time he's been here.  The fact that we haven't won anything while he's been here doesn't fall on him.

He's not had a great pre-season for me, has looked a little off the pace but no doubt he will make a good contribution again this season. He'll have to fight a little harder for his place this time around though and i suspect we will see more of him upfront than in the previous few seasons.

Not kuyt biggest fan, but he has to start playing right midfield soon. He gives the team much more than henderson ever would. And he is a goal threat too.

Dirk Kuyt has admitted that he's unhappy to have lost his place in the side.

The Liverpool forward was a regular started prior to this season but with boss Kenny Dalglish having spent big on the likes of Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing, competition is much harder at Anfield.

"I'm disappointed to be out of the team," said the Dutchman.

"From childhood, I've always been disappointed when I'm not in the team because I'm desperate to be involved and make a good contribution. But it also makes me very determined too.

"I need to continue to prove myself, train as hard as possible and, when I do play, make sure my performance is of a high standard.

"Competition is tough now but it's brilliant for the club that there are so many players to choose from now, top-class international players. The players realise at the end of the day you need more than 11 good players to be successful.

"When I first arrived here we had a very good, big squad but for the last two seasons before this one, we haven't had the depth that we did in the first three seasons.

"Someone like Craig Bellamy is a strong addition to what is already a very strong squad, and that can only be good for the team.

"We definitely have better quality now and more players to choose from as well.

"I think with the signings we've made, we have a great squad now so we should be ambitious and have confidence in ourselves."

Hendersson is by far a much crappier player than Kuyt. It's things like this that destroys footballs clubs. Players should be picked upon performance and Hendersson should by that standard be playing in the reserves.
