this stinks of parry ineptitude , gerrard went though the same thing as far as contract talks go and we had to depend on the lads home ties to keep him, with agger there are no such ties

i know people will come out and blame rafa for this but how can rafa play the lad if he thinks he might lose him because the player hasn't been sorted by the chief exc, agger and srktel are the future of our back four and rafa has done a great job of gettin the 2 palyers to the club, keeping them shouldn't be his job..... aggers agents will now be eying a big pay cheque

i fecking hate parry and the yanks for making our club a laughing stock in the market

No one player should moaning when the team is struggling hard to win the title. It shows his egoism. The Agger´s rant is a mistake.

His egoism?

All of these statements in the paper suggest that he's not an integral part of our team and not getting playing time at all.

If he's not involved in the struggle, and only gets bit-part cameo appearances, why would he want to stay? Especially as he could be snapped up by other big European clubs and get significantly more play-time.

Skrtel is ahead of him in the pecking order, and Carra is atleast 2-3 years, if not more - away from not playing full seasons.

The closest scenario I can think of is Jonny Evans at Mancs, but Evans is far younger than Agger and has 2 seasoned defenders ahead of him in Rio and Vidic.

Quite possible that some might mention rotating Skrtel and Agger etc, etc. Not for me this rotation thing.

Prefer Agger over Skrtel anyday ... but I'm not the manager, or the CEO or an owner, so what does it matter

Ill be gutted if we end up loosing him to be honest great great prospect imo an a football playing center half, never seems to panic on the ball , an reminds me when he brings that ball out of defence of a young Hansen, Which is something ive waited for a long time not just a header of the ball or a good tackler but a footballer in defense, I know he has a long way to go to even be recognised near the level of Hansen but its there, And if we loose him through stalling on a contract it will be a miscarrage of justice.
