Look around fella there's enough of us ,it might seem bemusing to you but your opinions while appearing no-less valid than mine are equally as confusing to me     ???

btw I was actually referring to outside the forum where there is a much wider spectrum of opinions

i actually dont know anyone that thinks a change of manager wouldnt be for the best.
I know there are obviously plenty that do but all the lads who go home and away think we need a change.
They still back him at matches though - as they are hopin that it will help, rather than things falling apart even worse.

Does anyone else think that Rafa sold his soul and the club down the river, and that he tried to manipulate the fans in order to get a more favourable contract?

:D  no

I just think that he has made some serious errors of judgement (to put in mildly)
and left us with a poor squad, weak in key areas that have destroyed our season and the players faith in him.

For some bizarre reason some of the fans still have faith though.

My final word on Benitez is this : although this season has been abject in every respect ,(that at least is without doubt) I do believe that any manager on dealing with  the adverse conditions that Rafa has had to deal with ,would have crumbled by now under the intense media speculation and conjecture he has had to endure ,not to mention the war of attrition with the owners who promised him funds to buy the players needed to press on with a realistic title challenge ,you name me one manager that would not have walked after having such personal assurances revoked ???

A manager with a very lucrative five year contract, with control over all aspects of the club?

Next week could be the breaking of him. If it goes bad - such as going out in Europe, losing to UTD and failing to beat Portsmouth - the pressure on the man would be unbearable.

I think so yeah but doesn't that start quite early on? Torres will get no rest again. To be honest we are better off without the Europa League. It offers no financial incentive and to be honest we could do with a season of just concentrating on the league. Time to get back to basics.
