Now that thats out of the way, i have only one question for you all, if Gerrard had scored that goal in the 90th minute, would we all still be this angry? DOes the scoreline truly dictate our opinions on our players? ???..............HELL YEH IT DOES AND WE PLAYED RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But we have played rubbish at other times this season and still taken 3 points - Boro at home.

Real champions get the 3 points even if they are not playing well.

In every game ?

Not seen any "real champions" play a season and win EVERY game yet.

The thing is if we go 4-4-2 today and we wouldn't have to watch Lucas play. With keane and Torres up front, our odds would be better. Another observation is if we are going to keep kicking the ball up front to a target man, why we sold Crouch??? Kuyt is not target man and heck, we don't have any on our team right now. So, stop doing that. As for our corners, those little pass back never works and not sure what they were thinking. We should learn something today from Stoke, it is the fact that simple straight forward long throw in and corners created much better chances. Hope Rafa realizes this and stop wasting corners...

Kuyt did nothign wrong. He worked the line against blokes twice his size, and won more than his fair share of 1st balls. You can't blame him for the lack of support.

It's about time for some people on here to show a bit more balance and understanding of the conditions faced today. What use would Keane have been against a side faster, stronger and taller than him?

The big problem I had with Lucas starting is that we -do- have options.  The obvious one to me was play Gerrard in the middle with Torres/Keane up front.  Yes the defenders were stronger and taller, I wouldn't agree faster but with Torres Keane and Gerrard there is creativity.  They are all intelligent players they would have been much better off than what we had out there.  I agree about Kuyt, too, he had a decent game but he had no support or supply.

Did I say everygame? No I didnt.

But we have had plenty of shabby home performances so at least a few of them would have helped.

what i was trying to get at is every is much happier to an extent as where we ignore how we played and are satisfied that we got away with the points. Just an opinion
