STOKE CITY VS LIVERPOOL - Saturday January 10th  17:30 k.o

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Absolute shambles, out fought and out played by the lower team like stoke, we did not deserve to earn a draw.
Lucas had a shocker, so is Skrtel, and Benayoun, and the worst of all them was our jewel striker Kuyt, who had run and run tireless but NO END PRODUCT, he is No1 Benitez babe!. How can be a donkey like Kuyt plays the whole game, and be selected ahead of Keane, Torres, and Babel? Come on let us be real, do you ever think we going to win a league with this kind of team selection? It is so negative tactics by Benitez, and he is a custom of doing so.

Are we going to see the real Liverpool team in the second half and the most important half of the season, the reality of the previous passed seasons of under achievements under Benitez?.

Benitez has already opened his big mouth about Fergie this week, talking about so much :censored:, but instead he should have done his homework about Stoke game, by trying to win the three points so comfortably, rather than dropping another two easy points!!!!!!

I still have my doubt about Benitez, and there is nothing new about him this season, to suggest changing my mind about him.

We were rubbish - there is no escaping that.

However, I think people look at the table, rather than the teams, and pass judgment.

Man Utd needed Stoke to be reduced to 10 men to scrape a 1-0 win. They played no better than we did today, they just got the rub.

The ref today was shockingly poor. I'm not opening this bit up for debate - it is fact. Had he been assassinated from the crowd, I would not have been suprised.

Lucas showed that he struggles against physical opposition who reduce his time on the ball. Yes, we already knew this - but for those with a pea for a brain, Alonso was injured, so our options in there were limited. At least he retained possession until he passed it...

Kuyt did nothign wrong. He worked the line against blokes twice his size, and won more than his fair share of 1st balls. You can't blame him for the lack of support.

It's about time for some people on here to show a bit more balance and understanding of the conditions faced today. What use would Keane have been against a side faster, stronger and taller than him?

Consider your responses to a disappointing point, before making fools of yourselves.

Come on, you can't seriously believed that Kuyt achieved anything during that entire match. I mean, there isn't really any point in winning the ball back and pressuring if whenever you get it you take your first touch and the ball goes 10 metres ahead of you. Slightly decent RM but forward............... :no

No, you're right. He didn't get into position for our best two chances. He didn't play up front on his own against 4 defenders.

I often think some people ignore the good things.

I don't know why Rafa needs to get involved with Fergie,do you remember the last time he tried to wind someone up and Drogba played out of is skin.We just did not get going again today and the Mancs will be 1 point ahead if,they win their 3 games in hand.

Ok can we still be positive.

We're still  top of the league..............in a better place than we have been for 18 years :p

Yes we seem to have a habit of not being able to kill teams off at times, but we cant win every game.

Rafa got it wrong today, lets hope he learns something

All i'm saying is that people on that bench could easily do better, and sure, it probably was the fact that he had to play lone striker that lowered his game, but if so then LUCAS should've been subbed off not Riera.

Kuyt wasn't the worse player as he got no support and needed to drop back to get the ball. In fact he won us some ball back while it would be dangerous for Stoke to counter attack. I thought comparatively speaking he did better than most at least his attitude was positive. Can't say the same for the others.

Are you high?

I'd take a Chelsea win anytime over them other c*nts. Think about it: it knocks them back even if Chelsea close the gap to a point, we're still top.

What is with this constant Kuyt defending?! HE'S SH!TE, GET OVER IT! He won't ever get dropped. And what exactly were his great chances, all he did was go "Aye, i got the ball" and run to an impossible angle and take a useless shot and win a useless corner because we weren't winning any headers, when we got the chance, bloody stevie G and his tricky corners that ALWAYS FAIL!!!!!! JUST KICK THE DAMN THING!!!  :veryangry

Don't bother as he will be his stubborn self. Probably will say Stoke put 8 at the back and defended well blah blah blah....He will not admit his mistake on the lineup nor substitude decision....
