We were rubbish - there is no escaping that.

However, I think people look at the table, rather than the teams, and pass judgment.

Man Utd needed Stoke to be reduced to 10 men to scrape a 1-0 win. They played no better than we did today, they just got the rub.

The ref today was shockingly poor. I'm not opening this bit up for debate - it is fact. Had he been assassinated from the crowd, I would not have been suprised.

Lucas showed that he struggles against physical opposition who reduce his time on the ball. Yes, we already knew this - but for those with a pea for a brain, Alonso was injured, so our options in there were limited. At least he retained possession until he passed it...

Kuyt did nothign wrong. He worked the line against blokes twice his size, and won more than his fair share of 1st balls. You can't blame him for the lack of support.

It's about time for some people on here to show a bit more balance and understanding of the conditions faced today. What use would Keane have been against a side faster, stronger and taller than him?

Consider your responses to a disappointing point, before making fools of yourselves.

But if you start with a negative formation and negative tactics then the game will be toughter to win. He should have started with Keane.

Are you high?

I'd take a Chelsea win anytime over them other c*nts. Think about it: it knocks them back even if Chelsea close the gap to a point, we're still top.

Gosh why is everyone so thick tonight ?!

u bet 100quid on the mancs winning it..

A) if chelsea win... good for us... fck the 100quid we got a decent result that works okayish for us

B) they draw... all the better.. fck the 100quid

C)manutd win... u make money..thus the "soften the blow" remark...

Lucas had a shocker, so is Skrtel, and Benayoun, and the worst of all them was our jewel striker Kuyt, who had run and run tireless but NO END PRODUCT, he is No1 Benitez babe!. How can be a donkey like Kuyt plays the whole game, and be selected ahead of Keane, Torres, and Babel? Come on let us be real, do you ever think we going to win a league with this kind of team selection? It is so negative tactics by Benitez, and he is a custom of doing so.

Are we going to see the real Liverpool team in the second half and the most important half of the season, the reality of the previous passed seasons of under achievements under Benitez?.

Benitez has already opened his big mouth about Fergie this week, talking about so much :censored:, but instead he should have done his homework about Stoke game, by trying to win the three points so comfortably, rather than dropping another two easy points!!!!!!

I still have my doubt about Benitez, and there is nothing new about him this season, to suggest changing my mind about him.

Kuyt wasn't the worse player as he got no support and needed to drop back to get the ball. In fact he won us some ball back while it would be dangerous for Stoke to counter attack. I thought comparatively speaking he did better than most at least his attitude was positive. Can't say the same for the others.

What is with this constant Kuyt defending?! HE'S SH!TE, GET OVER IT! He won't ever get dropped. And what exactly were his great chances, all he did was go "Aye, i got the ball" and run to an impossible angle and take a useless shot and win a useless corner because we weren't winning any headers, when we got the chance, bloody stevie G and his tricky corners that ALWAYS FAIL!!!!!! JUST KICK THE DAMN THING!!!  :veryangry

Take it easy mate. This is just my observation today. I'm just saying he wasn't the worse player today. I'm just as frustrated as many of you the reason we lost today is because of the line up and sub decision.

Aye right..Fuc'k off to your UTD forum!

We drew today and it feels poxy, taking it out on other posters in here isnt gonna add inches to your mickey so no hard feelings.

No bother mate!
but it was'nt the smartest thing to post given the circumstances!
Its forgot about! :)

No worries, i'm off to play poker now with these bas@rds, i'm gonna get a roasting!!!

No argument from me on that score.

Kuyt isn't the prettiest player int eh World, but his job today was a thankless task. Torres didn't really do much better, even though their defence was tiring.

Trouble is, Plessis would have made us even less attacking, and Babel isn't as effective in tight spaces as Gerrard.

Today all boils down to Alonso and his f*ckign injury at the hands of that hatchet-man Chaplow, the bald headed c*nt.

The only hope now is that it's a stale mate tomorrow,to take some of the sting out of the draw today.I would even take a Chelsea win as the Mancs are quite capable of winning their games in hand.

come on nan it was just a joke and the reaction to it was way over the top.... there wasnt much into it and if anything it just went on to show how a manutd win would be a kik in the balls for us (you wouldnt know  :p ) and thus the soften the blow part....

I don't usually post after (or even look) a bad day but i'm so dissapointed with the performance and result today. For me it's our worst performance as a team and by the manager this season. I fully understood Skrtel coming in for Agger plus we did as good a job as any in dealing with their long-ball, long throw, long fu...c....k..ing everything football but after all the tub thumping and drum beating (which i loved) from Rafa yesterday I really thought we'd come out with a positive line-up and a positive performance today but it didn't happen. Lucas and Kuyt are taking the stick as usual but Rafa please? You waited 60 minutes to change something that wasn't working at any point during the game. You watched our best player get starved of possession for virtually the entire game and didn't do anything to change it. Stoke were no mugs and were never gonna allow Gerrard the time and space he enjoyed at St.James Park last week. He could have dropped him back into centre-mid or pushed him wide-right, I really don't understand why he kept him so high up the pitch, playing with his back to goal. I was bemused by the subs, Torres on 60? Why wait? By half-time it was clear they were dealing with Dirk without any problems and (after showing us a lot of respect the first 20) their back-line were pushing up to the half-way line when they were in possession. Torres or (and) Keane would have kept them honest and bought the likes of Lucas in midfield a little more space. Before Lando or any of the other guys who jump on the back of anyone who is critical jumps down my throat, I try and keeps things pretty balanced but today was poor from the manager.

I know we missed Alonso and Arbeloa and Insua as well but this team were there for the taking, they had lost their last four and hadn't won in eight games. With a more positive line-up i'm convinced we would have got the early goal that would have opened the game up. Our lads had all the possession during the first 20 minutes but we weren't set-up to take advantage.

Did we lose, then?

Numpty.

The reason we DREW was because of Stoke and their gameplan.
