The only thing more pathetic than the performance today is the reaction of certain posters.

We were rubbish - there is no escaping that.

However, I think people look at the table, rather than the teams, and pass judgment.

Man Utd needed Stoke to be reduced to 10 men to scrape a 1-0 win. They played no better than we did today, they just got the rub.

The ref today was shockingly poor. I'm not opening this bit up for debate - it is fact. Had he been assassinated from the crowd, I would not have been suprised.

Lucas showed that he struggles against physical opposition who reduce his time on the ball. Yes, we already knew this - but for those with a pea for a brain, Alonso was injured, so our options in there were limited. At least he retained possession until he passed it...

Kuyt did nothign wrong. He worked the line against blokes twice his size, and won more than his fair share of 1st balls. You can't blame him for the lack of support.

It's about time for some people on here to show a bit more balance and understanding of the conditions faced today. What use would Keane have been against a side faster, stronger and taller than him?

Consider your responses to a disappointing point, before making fools of yourselves.

Now that thats out of the way, i have only one question for you all, if Gerrard had scored that goal in the 90th minute, would we all still be this angry? DOes the scoreline truly dictate our opinions on our players? ???..............HELL YEH IT DOES AND WE PLAYED RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But we have played rubbish at other times this season and still taken 3 points - Boro at home.

Real champions get the 3 points even if they are not playing well.

I would have still been angry yes but upset an feelings of not winning league maybe or maybe not I couldn't say tbh.

But he didn't score did he and fact we was counting on it just shows how bad we played today.

Once agian we had league in our hands and have thrown it away because you just know this is what fergie has been waiting on and now his team will pounce on this mistake and wrech our confidence for another 10 years.

Anyway back to the game, the subs were baffling again today, Riera was one of the few players having a decent game so he takes him off, whats that about? why did Rafa persist with Lucas and Mascherano all game when they couldnt create a single opportunity for anyone? why did Kuyt play when his little patch of form deserted him about 2 months ago, the guy cant pass, move or control the ball and is about as quick as a tortoise with no legs. I seriously think we would have won that comfortably if we put any sort of decent line up out

The players for some reason didn't look happy to be playing today. Just the look on their faces.

It was a very poor game.  I think Rafa should have brought on Torres and Keane for the whole of the second half.

Lucas should have been taken of for the 2nd half.

I'd would have kept Reira on.

Well I cant wait to see Rafas post match interview.

I wouldn't bother. He was asked about his comments yesterday and all he could muster was "You'll have to ask Mr Ferguson"...

Fücking pathetic if you ask me.

He shot his mouth off yesterday and made a balls of it today.

Forget Gerrard and Torres

Alonso is the key to us winning the title this season.

Without him we severely lack in attacking ideas and that "killer" pass thats needed to :censored: up teams like Stoke

Hurry back lad

Come on, you can't seriously believed that Kuyt achieved anything during that entire match. I mean, there isn't really any point in winning the ball back and pressuring if whenever you get it you take your first touch and the ball goes 10 metres ahead of you. Slightly decent RM but forward............... :no
If you can't amaze people with your intelligence, try confusing them with your :censored: :)
