if you want to forget about the berbatov stuff why keep bringing it up every time then ? And comparing him to the likes of kilbane and dowie and claridge is nearly laughable , how many of those players have played on the big stage in big tournament for both club and country scoring goals and setting up goals against the best in europe ? None of them . And lets concentrate on this season not keep going on about last season . We all know he had a poor run around the time he lost his father but its now that counts not history . This season . At the moment he is on a run of 4 goals in three games and is also our joint top scorer alongside torres being one of our best players so far this season in a team that is second only on goal difference and doing well in europe . Out of his goals three have been important winners while he has also had a hand in setting up another winner in a massive game . Its now that matters not last season . And he is performing right now for us . And ace we cant pick from all the strikers in the prem or all the right mids in the prem . We arent playing football manager . Oh and he isnt playing as a right winger no matter how many times you say he is .

so whats factually incorrect about my post ? Its plain to see you want to keep involving last season so you can use the 3 in 29 statement when a couple of weeks ago you said it was one in 28 and i even said then i could bet my house that if he scored in next match you would change it to 2 in 29 . But im not stuck in last season so concentrating on the season we are currently playing in where kuyt is currently our joint top goalscorer alongside torres and has currently scored 4 in three games . Those facts cant be ignored .

You compare Kuyt with Berbatov, then desribe him as being "pretty much our best player so far this season", then imply that the likes of Dowie and kilbane never played International football, nor scored goals in important matches and then go on to ask me what is factually incorrect about your post. Unbelieveable really. I remain far from convinced that you are not a permanent wind-up, so skewed is your whole perception of the game of association football. As far as the "this season" against "last seasons" stats, why stop where you have? why not just go the whole hog and say he's scored 2 in his last 1 game, that's his average?

Anyway, you can have the last word, and it will be so because it is absolutely pointless trying to have a sensible discussion with you, you have proved it many times. Once again though I must congratulate you as you have succeeded in derailing the thread and burying any sensble input with your inane reflections. Ill thought out, ill percieved and unrelated to the posts which preceeded them, they serve only as a blanket to bring the whole thing down to it's lowest possible common denominator.

This whole thread contains a litany of your distinctive observations, from Berbatov/Kuyt comparisons to stories of things going bump in the night as strange people stalk each other off the internet. Quite why you feel it is your duty to parilyse any sensible debate on here is something of a mystery to me, but I must say you have been singularly successful in ensuring that I rarely post (infact never on this thread until this last post because of this precise reason), and I'm absolutely certain the fact that your arrival on the forum and the deterioration in decent football debate is not a coincidence.

Anyhow, Like I say have the last say and this'll be my last visit onto the thread. Unless of course you can post something up which provokes comment.

all i have done is give my opinion on a liverpool player . Nice and simple . Your the guy coming on here shouting your mouth of accusing me of this that and the other . I actually compared kuyt and berbatovs goalscoring record in there first season and i actually prefered kuyt . Thats my opinion and one im entitled to .and if you actually read my posts i said for club and country in big tournaments . When did dowie and kilbane score and create in the cl or euros for either club or country . Everything you accuse me off in this threat i suggest you look at yourself in the mirror . Yes i do think he has been one of our best players and important players this season . Disagree with that fine . Insult me and accuse me of ruining things is pretty pathetic and out of order .

it's stil clear he has sum lovers and haters but at the end of the day if he scores the important goals he is scoring throughout the season...i will be a happy man.

Kuyt has been our most consistent player this season so far , he has performed in most of his matches , more than stevie and torres have done . Footballing wise he can't lace their boots but in terms of performances , kuyt has been better so far. A off form torres has 5 goals and a in form dirk has 5 goals , can't wait for torres and keane to start banging them in . Made up for kuyt , he has been good this season and does not deserve the stick he gets on here

I will say that even though Berbatov is a better player than Kuyt, it would be a long, cold day in hell before I had that Bulgarian b*stard in my team...

Berbatov scores goals, even if most of them are offside by nearly as far as he runs in a match

That was my point - Berbatov is a more skillful footballer but the guy is a lazy :censored:

and i preferred the teamwork skills and work rate of kuyt for the team .
