I admire the lad and hope he can play as well as he did particularly in the second half of last season.
He gets called all sorts on here and it just is'nt right.7 C/L goals last season as well and tbh we'd have been out of it lot earlier without him!

here hear

i agree

kuyts a good bloke, a hero. ive always been on his side. but i was always on biscans too. a club needs someone human. someone who looks like hed die for the top hes wearing. runs about like a madman, never shows his injuries. and all some of you kunts can do is slag him off. well go for it, but hes my boy, hes gonna keep scoring goals and proving hes needed in the team and hes an asset to our progress

biscan... :D ... talking about biscan do you guys remember this superb goal he scored for us from a counter? I don't remember against who anymore... but he just took the ball and ran at the defence and unleashed a superb shot... almost look like he was really the next zidane there... but yeah... I like those kinda players too, no fuss, always give 100% for the team, same goes for riise...

I suppose 19 years without the title breeds your type of fan! I myself have slightly loftier expectations.

my type of fan? supporting the players who give it all, yeah, im a right :censored:

My opinion only ofcourse.

But if Kuyt went to another club and was played in his best position without having to do other duties like play rightback and centre half during games he would blossom and become a fine goal scorer again.

My mum likes Rafa but even she says he has destroyed Kuyt and she said she hopes he doesnt do the same to Keane.

But when Kuyt played as an out and out striker for us he was sh1t.

I like him bcos of his dedication and determination. He's a good player but not great. Rafa playing him out of position? i think yes. ..before going wide, i think his position was more of a second striker.....

I have never doubted he's a great guy but he is NOT good enough to play for us, never in a million years and it's an embarassment that he's picked week in week out and in my opinion it directly hurts the team.

Listen if Michael Owen was asked to do what Kuyt does for us you will find he would have also struggled to get goals.

Whereas Torres is told to just stay in and around the box, Kuyt on the other hand has never been told that IMO.

If Kuyt does have pace, maybe he would be a better player for us...

You've got a good point , and i'm not bashing kuyt in any way when i say this but if it was owen on the flank and if he had the chances kuyt had , out of 10 shots i'd reckon at least 7 would have gone in . Kuyt has more heart and determination to play for that shirt , he gives his all , runs back and helps with the defenses and makes some crucial interceptions , if he can just chip in with an extra 5 goals a season and carry on with that many assist as he got last season , i'm sure most of us would not mine .

I would thing that most players who play on the wings these day would have pace . Ronaldo , Henry for barcaleona and SWP for city along with robinho . Ronaldo main tricks are the step overs where he pushes the ball forward and runs after it , the defender loses him because he's faster . Kuyt is not as fast , which is another reason why he would lose out on those early crosses or chances that other wingers have .
