He is best in world his right foot is like gold you can't even say ronaldo is better up right wing he pure class.

He will get 40 assists this season and score 22 goals and have one leg tied behind his back , by the way don't ask me how that is even possible .

And peewee no one has said he is a world beater - which goals did biscan or morientis or cisse or diouf score that enabled us to earn millions and progress in the CL ? did they score 7 in one CL season ? they hindered the team and as much as you deny it Kuyt doesnt hinder the team .

Well Biscan had some huge games for us in the run up to the final of our Champions League success. I recall in particular one subtle little through ball to Garcia (I think) in a 2-0 Home win in that competition. Morientes was a disaster admittedly, but to say that Kuyt doesn't hinder the team is off the mark I think.

He certainly hinders the team in the sense that he reduces the fluidity, the cohesion and the rhythm because he isn't a natural right midfielder. Admittedly he tries to make up for that with pure endeavour, but it is debateable whether his undoubted lung busting contributions and occasional into the goal deflections from various parts of his anatomy actually make up for his other input, such as it is.

If we're being honest here (and we might as well be lets face it) he is not good enough by a distance to be a right midfielder in any team with title pretensions playing any type of 4-4-2 formation. I will,accept that he was marginally more effective in last seasons 4-5-1, but on the first point, surely there's no sensible argument is there?

I remember when crouch was lauded a hero for scoring ten in the CL (including a hat trick against a oppo) yet kuyt scores 7 including goals against arsenal,inter and chelsea and still is - scores an important goal in help us reach the group stages and yet still is . no one has said anything about single handly doing anything but he deserves far more credit than many people give to him . then again who is right ? some anti kuyt fans OR Rafa,Van Basten,Gerrard and Torres . ??


P.s the year Biscan scored for us we didnt reach the CL through the league .

Yes the odd player does something but when someone does things for the good of the team constantly in the face of severe critism it does start to get pretty pathetic and a bit of a witch hunt .

But what good things does Kuyt do, I just can't see it, to me he is a waste of a position, surely there must be a junior player or almost anybody else who cold do a better job than Kuyt, like maybe Pennant, remeber him. He scores important goals at vital times - he assists and creates both goals and goalscoring chances(more than you can ever say pennant ever did). He tackles back , he keeps going non stop all day long,totally commited .

the way you talk about kuyt its as if he useless and thats just total - if he was that useless why would gerrard and torres praise him ? why would the dutch manager pick him ahead of people like robben and hunteelar ?
