loan him out and see if he can rediscover some form instead of gambling on him in our vital games..........He won't sell for the money Lpool will be looking to recoup.

The problem with Holland is they can't afford Kuyt's wages, but thats the only way I can see Kuyt leaving.

Maybe swop him with Newcastle for Owen, we get a broken down footballer out of the deal, and they get another striker that doesnt score to go with Alan Smith.

:D

:D Second touch a sliding tackle!

But seriously, his touch isn't terrible, i'd say it is fairly average like much of his game. He just isn't quite up to this level for me, at least not at Liverpool where teams sit back and demand we do something special to score. For me it's very similar to Sissoko's situation, they are both good players who aren't quite up to it but would do very well at a lower table side where expectations are less and the opposition come out and play a bit more.

yes mate, he is a lower league player on his current form, sadly his current form is only slightly less than the best i have ever seen from him, he is not a good player, i like the guy and i like his work ethic, but he just doesnt cut the mustard

He didn't get the season off to a great start to be fair. His dad passed away with cancer before the season kicks of.

And I ask you, had his header gone in today, would you be saying all of this? Doubt it. cough*bandwagons*cough

take the time to read back, i have been saying this about kuyt for over a year, bandwagon my @rse, i can form my own opinions, try and do the same

To say so is idiotic and afterall he is in the Dutch team wether a starter or not.

With all his critisim I decided to play close attention to his play the last few games. He saves our bacon an many occasions by getting back and defending and regaining possession. He is probably the best "team player" we have and the hardest worker. His technical skills are good and he does hold the ball up well. What he lacks is flair and that is all (and that could well be due to Raffa's instructions). Had he put away a few more of his chances (afterall scoring and missing is seperated by mere inches) then all the idiots calling him sh1t would be singing his praises.

I am not a particular fan of Kuyt (aside from the fact he is a Liverpool player, I am in agreement with Saint that we need a creative second striker rather than one that defends well) but I see what he does and get irritated hearing everyone say he is sh1t. He is not and I think 90% of Kuyt is game is following his coach's instructions other wise why would Raffa continue to play him.

It is too easy to talk sh1t, but does not make you correct.

Peewee is you old lady happy? Because if your fooking is anything like your football knowledge, you could not find the G-spot on a fifteen pound pussy.

It started off funny mate until you made it personal, maybe you have a 15 pounder and that's why you bloke fked off sharpish.

Now to football, no doubt I have played football to a higher level than some bint and for you to make kuyt out to be anything other than sh*t shows a lack of knowledge, you will be telling me Diao was world class next because he played in the world cup

"you bloke fked off sharpish" ?

Don't kid yourself mate, I will hardly wait for your reply. I post about one a day so that is my style and frankly it is not that important to me.

Did you take it personal because I implied you had a woman, I should have said " is your old ladyboy happy" then maybe you would not have been so offended.

You take yourself very seriously don't you.

For the nostalgia value alone, that would be nice.......

nobody here dislikes the guy, he has probably made the most of himself but should be playing at Wigan or Birmingham.

Rafa is a fool to have paid ten million pounds for him. Sell him now for five if we can get it and cut our losses.

Crouch is only okay but much better than Kuyt. We need another centre forward - not a typical Rafa :censored: purchase (voninin, kuyt, morientes etc) but a quality one. Sell Crouch if we need to raise the Cash  - newcastle or sunderland would prob pay ten million for him. together with five mill for kuyt that means the board only need five mill to spend twenty million on a striker worthy of premiership champions.

All in all, if he had a bit more pace he'd be a lot more effective as a goalscorer than he is at the moment. He has the intelligence to be in the right places, but is often just snuffed out as he's about to shoot.

however to compare him to meijer and dundee as someone did a few pages back is just ridiculous.

Ahhh i dont know about Dirk Kuyt ......

He's on a goal drought .... it happens to the best of them ...

But if he score's and doest score for ages again .... he's probably useless then

Dirk reminds me of Nando.....works hard but is too slow and not strong enough to cut it in the Premiership.

There, i've said it....i don't think he's good enough. And to think we paid 10 million makes it all the worse!  Perhaps he's Rafa's first 'big money' flop?

No he is certainly a big money flop but everyone has them. FWIW I actually thought he did nothing wrong with the header against City, and in truth he had one of his better games. The slightly uneasy truth is though that he isn't up to it, yes 10 million was too much but there you go. Take what we can get and move on has to be the best policy. Rafa has very commendably admitted his mistakes in the past and sold any bad buys (with Morientes being the most obvious example). I just hope that in Kuyt's case he is prepared to admit it somewhat earlier. This season is probably done and dusted as far as any major sales go, but I would have thought we should be able to find somebody in the Summer who will stump up a couple of million for him, which in all honesty is probably about what he is worth.
