I would like to say something about Alonso... What are they feeding him at Anfield these days.. the guy not only sprays the balls all over the park, but last night his tackling was amazing..  How many times did he nick the ball of Duff, Robben and SWP.  It was so funny to watch these "world class"  wingers have their pockets picked by our big X.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Yea, the best one was when andy gray was about to have a orgasium when robben got the ball and looked to turn, but then Xabi as cool as you like nicks the ball away as skips past him.

He is truely world class.

Even the tabloids are praising us, a lot are saying that the general opinion that Liverpool fluked the Champions League last year is changing after this start to our campaign. I truely think we can retain the title. Chelsea looked sub-standard last night, we made them look like that. We were all over them in the last 30 mins.

One thing that still frustrates me is the formation Rafa insists on playing. When I saw Cisse was in the starting line up I was delighted, then to see him on the right wing all game was so disappointing, he is so wasted out there. How is he ever going to get us goals if Rafa won't play him in an attacking role?? Currently the way we play suggests Rafa wants all his goals from midfield?

I was quite afraid of defending Cisse yesterday, as some of you really seemed :censored: with his performance. I think it wasn't good, that's undeniable, but the fact is that he is NOT a winger.

I'm not having at go at his performance cos' he was playing out of position but my question is why Rafa plays that cr@p formation. What formation will he play when Morientes is back? Will he go on the wing too?? ???

It's not just about people slately Cisse, but people have to remember that Rafa didn't buy this lad and he doesn't seem the type of player he wants for the system he plays.

If you think people on here are harsh about Cisse then you should have heard the City FM phone in last night :;):

4 5 1 isnt a :censored: formation, you need to have the players to play that formation and we simply dont, Cisse on the right and garcia on the left will not work, if the miracle of Kewell gettin back to his old self and playing closer to Crouch it would be a lot more effective, just a shame Zenden hasnt had the sort of impact i thought he would have. Looking at ae suad at the moment i dont think we can play this particular formation (although i thought it worked well 2nd half) but with great wingers it can be a devestating formation. But this looks like the way Rafa wants to go about things, and im sure if he didnt think it was going to work he would change it

TBH the lad (Cisse) never was and never will be worth 14 million pounds. He has proved to be a really poor buy and I feel slightly sorry for Rafa that he is being asked to pick up the pieces of this cronic piece of mismanagement. If it was me, the first time we play WBA or Wigan or West Ham or indeed any other team that's name starts with 'W' at home I'd stick him up top and hope he bangs in a few goals to get his confidence up. Then whenever possible I'd play him up front in the hope he might just nudge his price Northwards by January. At the moment he would fetch about 5.5 million in my book, and I personally wouldn't even pay that if I was a manager.

There's no denying that Cisse is definitely not a winger. This guy is one of the fastest centre-forwards ever, and that's the way he should be used.
What's more, Gallas knew exactly what to do with him. Didn't anyone remind Benitez of the fact that both Gallas and Cisse play for France and know each other very well? No surprise possible...
Anyway good game for the Reds.

No no, you guys are making a big mistake if you think Cisse is a poor buy. The problem is Will Benitez (or any other manager for that matter) understand one day how to make the most of him?
As a frenchman (from Marseilles, almost Cisse's hometown) I've had the opportunity to follow Cisse's career, and I can tell you that Djibrill can be a helluva striker.

How can they claim Jose manged their game better than Rafa did ours

I bet even if we win, they would have still said Jose managed better.

Those ratings are PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xabi a 6?

WTF? HE WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Continuously breaking up Chelsea's attacks and dominating midfield (he only made like 2 mistakes the whole game)

And Luis Garcia a 7?

BETTER THAN XABI? GARCIA WAS HORRIBLE!!

The guy that made those ratings is on DRUGS!!

That may well be the issue but he doesn't fit into Rafa's plans and that will be the reason he leaves.

Morning everyone......well now i,ve slept on it i still think we were by far the better team last night, and whatever that idiot maureen says on tv,he must know it too if he watches the game back today.Apart from leaving it a bit late before sinema came on,Rafas tactics were spot on and it showed again in my opinion how important Didi Hamaan is.I thought Stevie had a quieter game than i hoped but still thought he looked a better player than Frank "super gos" Lampard.Anyway overall very pleased with last night, still cant believe we didnt get at least one penalty and looking forward to Sunday.

If Cisse finally had to leave, I would feel sorry for him and for you.
But I'd be delighted for my favourite side Olympique de Marseille. No doubt Djibrill would join us!
