Neither will anyone else. But, frankly I'd rather see Luis being rewarded for all his hard work than simply being the setup boy for somebody else's tap in.

Ok there's a blue peter badge for suarez in the post as we speak.

If Suarez had scored after his brilliant run for the first goal, that would have been a goal that would have stuck in memory for a long, long time. Something few players could have done.

But, anyone could have scored the goal Kuyt did after Luis did all the work.

In the end a goal is a goal, sure. But Kuyt, in a million years, could never have done what Luis did. I actually felt a little sorry for Suarez.

No,

Kuyt's hat trick will always be remembered because he scored 3 goals against the Mancs

and that is enough to remember for a long long time

I agree MH. It would have been nice to see Suarez get the first, afterall it was going in anyway but thats how it goes. If Kuyt left it and someone cleared it Kuyt would be getting crucified as we speak

team > individual :)

we win together, we lose together
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He'll be happy with that.

True. Kuyt did exactly the right thing. You simply don't take the chance. You bury it home and make sure.

I remember when Kuyt's tap ins didn't only come from his feet, they came from all his body parts like his shins and his @rse and most of the time he knew f.uck all about them going in :D That's 'what we call' unconsious instinct.

People love to criticize dirk but I don't think anyone else in the team would have scored those goals (been in position to score them) and to score a hat trick against Manchester United of all teams.. you have to think about that and just how rare and difficult that is to do. He's been such a great servant to the club, scored countless number of very important goals, and loves playing here.  There really is nothing to complain about at this point in his career here. In the past maybe it was warranted but he's constantly proved himself to be such a huge asset to us.  Hell go on to be remembered for a long time imo.

Conversely though...Kuyt wouldn't have scored any goals if a lot of the work hadn't been done for him.

Each goal in that hat-trick was reminiscent of the goals Michael Owen scored for us all the time.

i agree... had any other player been on the pitch in his place, the opposition would have probably decided to pick them up. they know how terrible kuyt generally is so just ignored him and left him to his own devices. unfortunately for them, sloth had put his boots on the right way round this time.

would anybody here be surprised if kuyt didn't score another goal this season? since he only had 2 in open play in the league before the game against the mancs.

is anybody familiar with the term "don't work hard, work smart" ...what was the first thing rafa said when he met gerrard?
