In the next few days, looks like we'll be losing Masch and maybe Kuyt.

im not sure whether Roy has anything up his sleeve or not...
but so far the players coming in are of a lower quality than the ones we're selling.

Except for the fact that Cole is a better player than any of the lads we've sold or loaned out that is.  :;):

i do agree with that.   :)

but based on the sum of their parts, i think id take Masch, Aqua, Riera and Yossi over Cole, jovan, Poulsen.

Of course we'll have to just wait until the deadline before we can make an accurate analysis of the window.

i personally want to believe that Roy has some players lined up already but just needs the Masch cash to close the deals.

So Kuyt's running along to daddy. Oh well, all the best Dirk.
Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

None of the players are "irreplacable", the real question is can you get someone nearly as good or better for less than received. I'm not convinced we'd get the quality of winger a lot on here shoot their loads dreaming about with £12m.

I would sell the unhappy :censored:....use the money to get a true winger ( Jesus Navas springs to mind) and a good striker ( luis Fabiano maybe)...There is no need to hang on to players whose minds are elsewhere...!!

surely 16million isnt hard to cough out? i can never understand why is it other clubs can sell their average players for hefty fees but we keep on bending over so they can screw us. what's the highest transfer fee received apart from Alonso and Fowler?

All managers have a clear out when they come in - Rafa had to clear out GED french lads and Woy is cutting out the dead wood he doesnt want so theres nothing new in whats going on. Could be the case we fans have become very sensitive to everything and anything that comes out of Anfield these days.

It's the situation we are currently in imo. Every club knows Masch is on strike and we are under pressure to sell him. Same with Kuyt, if he wants to leave, we can't do anything much about it. :(

Will roy get the money to spend ? All these players being sold will only deplete the squad because there not being replaced . Can't see how people are happy about that .

Depends why they're being sold, to give Roy cash or to reduce the overhead? I sense the latter.... cut the wage bill.

Johnson cost man city £6m so that's the end of your argument there!

yes he is a work horse but in the last two years he more been like clothes horse

Its really sad to see so many delusional fans out here! This below is a quote from Kristian Nemeth on his transfer:

I have no reason to be frustrated. I know how much they appreciated me there and I also know that I would have been given the opportunity but I was unlucky. Anytime I  was near to the first team something always happened. When I went back in the summer the club leaders told me they had financial problems, they needed money urgently, wanted decrease expenditure had to reduce the squad. [B]
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Well if we get £14M for Kuyt then take it I say. If he doesn't want to be at LFC then he is as well away and I think £14M is a good price for him.

14 million for a 30 year Kuyt...?
Are people on drugs?

If we get anywhere near 10 million I'd say take the money and run.
